His name has been decided: "Meoward Skizzorhands," not Scissor... Skizzor😹

If he turns out to be a girl, then "Meowdwina Skizzorhands" will be her name.

This little one is my current singleton bottle baby. He was born August 1, 2024, to Moo. He wasn't big enough to compete with the other kittens, so i pulled him for bottle feeding. I was worried we might lose him, but he's doing well with the bottle & getting bigger. In these photos from today, he's finished eating & drifted into a food coma. 😹 He also did great in the car up to Flagstaff & back. He slept in the sling & popped his head out whenever he was hungry.🍼🐈‍⬛

I'm pretty sure he's a boy, but it can be difficult to be certain when they're this young, also because he's a void kitteh (all black) & fluffy. He also has some of the longest murder mitten claws I've seen on a newborn. 🐾💅🏼🐾

In light of the impressive claws, I'm considering naming him either:

Edward Scissorhands (Edwina if a girl)
OR
Meoward Scissorhands (Meowina)
OR
Logan/Laura for Wolverine & X-23/Talon.

Thoughts? Opinions? Comment and let me know. If you have other suggestions, comment them as well.

This little one is having a tough time keeping up with its adopted siblings. So, I pulled it out of the kitten tower & we're cuddling with a heating pad (inside a soft sock), a faux fur blanket, & random bottle feedings to supplement. So far they've had almost a whole ounce of formula this afternoon, which is a lot for a less than week old kitten. 😻

I think this one is having a hard time because it's so much smaller than the other babies, so it's not quite able to squeeze in as well for feedings the way the larger kittens are. That's what I'm here for though. I so appreciate having a nursing mother foster right now, but I'm more than willing to help her out when needed. 😺

I went to check on mini Moo & she had passed. Ugh, Mt heart, in her short life she was very sweet and loved to cuddle into my neck.

It happens so quickly when they stop eating. Heartbreaking.

"Stopped at a convenience store in Barrie to grab a drink. On my way out of the parking lot, a bit of movement on the far side of the lot caught my eye. This poor little guy was stuck and exhausted. The top of his body was soaking wet and when he saw me he panicked and started trying to squeeze all the way into the cup. I picked him up and brought him over to some grass and then helped him extricate himself. So, if you're going to litter or even toss cups like this in a garbage that animals have access to, pop the lid off first. Poor little guy would've died a miserable death on a very hot day if I hadn't noticed him!"

I'm worried about Moo's 1st born. She's not eating as much as the siblings, and is now much smaller than them. I tried to supplement her with some formula, but she does not like it at all. Her eyes are open, which is at the right time frame at least. Going to keep watching her, and if need be keep giving formula, even if she doesn't like it.

Update on Moo's babies:
They are now 9 days old & doing well. Round bellied and growing. The little black and white one moved around so much none of the photos came out, so I had to go get a retake. 😹

Apparently I interrupted her nap, & she is not happy about it. I only wanted a cute photo of her sleeping. 😹
