This sweet girl was first seen yesterday at approximately 630 am in the area of Nancy St. Many people tracked her and tried to gain her trust. She was seen roaming in many different areas but scared. A plan was set in motion and a trap was ready to be deployed but she had other plans and decided to secure herself in a shop around Wesley St this morning.

Lots of appreciation goes out to the Dutton community. Rhonda, Tracey, Payton, Dave, Tonya, Sheila and Bonnie and her son (sorry if we missed anyone)

This beauty is now safe and sound with Humane Society London & Middlesex and already loved.

🐾🐾🐾❤️THE STORY OF JOEY❤️🐾🐾🐾

On Wednesday, we received a message from Abi about a terrified dog running in the fields in Dutton. We didn’t hear anything until a couple of days later when a dog matching the same description started showing up on cameras. We advised residents to set a feeding station to get him coming back so we could place a trap.
This morning, we came across a post in a Windsor missing pet group of a dog matching the one in Dutton however it’s 124km away. Could it be??? After going over the pictures with our team members and Mary from the group in Windsor, we connected to Joeys Mom Crystal and sure enough this was in fact her boy who had been missing since Tuesday the day before we started getting the first sighting.

Joeys Mom drove here with his blanket and sat in his safe place where he came to eat. He showed up several times and would stand and stare at her but would hesitate and take off but then come right back. Mom was amazing and followed every direction we gave her. With time and patience, Joey ran a big circle around her, sniffed her sandal she had behind her and bam!!! Secured.

We can’t thank the Dutton residents enough Rhonda and family for feeding him and listening to all our advice and allowing a trap to be placed on their property if needed and everyone who messaged us with sightings.

If only Joey could talk. He certainly didn’t make it out there on his own. We encourage everyone who has a missing dog, look far and wide. You never know where they’ll show up.
