My folks call me Solly and a bunch of other names. My name is "Sol", like the Sun in Spanish but everyone calls me "Solly". Wogglesworth. The E is for Einstein who I resemble when my tongue is hanging out and my hair is wild and crazy looking. I'm a local from around the Baja (aka "Choyero") and I’m one of the coolest chilliest dogs in Cabo. I was rescued from the arroyo by the SJD Airport in 2017
by the nice folks at Casa Sheila. Casa Sheila is a rescue in San Jose del Cabo. I was named “Bob Marley” by the Casa Sheila folks because my hair was super long like dreadlocks and I’m super chill. I’m so chill doctors didn’t want to operate on me in 2023 because my heart rate was too low. After a visit to a dog cardiologist, everyone found out that I’m just fine, just super chill and not afraid of anyone in white coats or hospital scrubs. I was super scruffy from living in the arroyo. They figured I was in the arroyo for almost 2 years based on how long my hair was. My previous owner dropped me off in the arroyo near the SJD Airport. I lived in the wild for a couple of years. Imagine living in an arroyo, super hot, cold at night in the winter, rainy and hurricanes in the summer and not much to eat. I wore out my bottom front teeth chewing on rocks! Can you imagine how pi**ed I was when I got dropped off in the arroyo and left to survive in the wild. I’m a poodle (mostly), not a wolf or coyote! I can’t run down and kill anything for a meal. Tough going, you bet. Can't believe they did that to me? Neither could I. I don't bark much or bite or dig or anything that would make you want to just drop me off in the wild. I'm super lovable and maybe a little lazy at times but I'm always friendly! Thankfully for me I was rescued, cleaned up and fed at Casa Sheila. They found me a new home with my Mama and Papa, who are awesome. Now I live a pretty good life. I have a nice house with a swimming pool and the best food. I get two big meals a day and lots of treats – even more when Jefe & I put the con on. No one is sure how old I am but we think I was probably 3-4 years old when I was captured in the arroyo by the Casa Sheila people. Captured – who am I kidding, they just offered me food and I went along. These are my hobbies since I don't have a job:
- Eating (my favorite)
- Sniffing
- Car rides
- Being friendly – I love meeting all dogs everywhere
- Going anywhere with Mama and Papa
- Barking at motorcycles and trucks
- Barking whenever Jefe barks
- Sleeping just about anywhere
- Turning on my charm and colluding with Jefe for treats
Tricks- I can do a couple
- I can tell time - I know when its snack time and dinner time (10:30, 12:30, 2:30 and 4pm)
- I’m a magician – I make food disappear
- High five or high ten – only for food
I also like travelling and hanging out at my brother Ryan's house in Nova Scotia. I've been to Canada 4 times and have visited many airports in the United States. I'm also part of a gang with my brother Jefe. We are called "Dos Mooooochachos". I'm mostly poodle, some Chihuahua, bad ass Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a bit of mixed breed. I'm not fat!! It’s the bad ass bull terrier that gives me the big ribcage and meaty butt. I don't have a birthday, only a Gotcha Day which was April 22, 2017. Most think I was 2 – 3 years old when I was adopted. That would make my birthday in April of 2014 or 2015. I have a few nicknames - see below. My rapper name is Sir Bark a Lot. I bark at motorcycles, delivery trucks and garbage trucks. If my folks had waited a few days to name me, I'd be called "Hoover". I suck up the crunchitos like a vacuum.
