When I looked at this product, I jumped at the chance!!
Here's why:
Because Jason logs so many hours in the saddle and rides with a lot of leg, he wears out the leather on his fenders, causing the Blevins to periodically slide up and down and the stirrup to fall off.
It's happened to him before when he was riding colts and going down the fence on a cow - it's never when you are walking around chilling on a broke one...
We always replaced the back section of his fenders to fix the issue.
It is so great that there is a handy way to make sure the buckle stays put instead!!
It was easy to install and we both have ridden that saddle a bunch - easy to change stirrup length, everything stayed put!

JUST 60 DAYS IN.....
This 2022 filly by Tien Quarter Horses's Sizzling Hot Boons is proving she is the kind that wants to learn.
She is a bit ahead of the curve in the training process; most are not quite this far along at just 60 days. However, every horse is treated as an individual and has its own timeframe, so learning happens when they are ready.
"Radish" has shown that she really enjoys working with livestock and can listen to directions well enough for Jason to video and ride simultaneously.
With a hopeful future in AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse and Roping, she obviously has the right stuff.

Four of our personal 2023s got their first rides on Friday with the help of our good friend and former assistant trainer, Kaity Barrero.
Kaity came to us several years ago with a decent knowledge base and a passion for colt starting. She then worked for us for a couple of years, so she and Jason make an excellent team.
She is obviously handy and has the added bonus of being shorter and lighter than Jason. Jason rides a help horse to control the situation. This way, he can watch each horse, get to know them even better, and assess them for a training plan, etc.
Jason has been properly preparing our prospects for this ride over the last 6 weeks. The goal was to keep it a very mellow day. Mission accomplished. No ride lasted longer than 11 minutes. This is our favorite way to start them: low-key, low-stress, low drama.
I have all 4 rides in their entirety available for interested buyers. I will have these prospects' marketing profiles completed around the 1st of the year.

He knew immediately that Jason knew his throw was going to be short - his shoulder isn't as young as it once was.
This is the difference between a trained and cow savvy horse vs a horse that is just patterned to do a job. He stayed with the cow and gave Jason the ability to get the fish. The fish saved a -5-point penalty per judge and the need for a second loop.
They took home a check for over $800 in the NRCHA SBF Cowboy Class. It would have been $0 if he had to throw a second loop.
This horse has an uncanny ability to mentally stay with both his rider and the cow.
