5,408 days is not long enough to spend with you. I hope you and your buddy Elliott are running free and happy again, like ya'll did in so many of the videos I have of the both of you. Sadness is upon Mom and Dad this evening. Our Spirit has crossed the veil to be with Elliott. RIP. There will never be another two like you guys. You brought so much love and energy into our lives. A hundred years or a hundred days, a hundred times, I would always want a hundred more. I promise you, I'll love you forever, and hope to join you and everyone else some day.

Mom and I went on an early morning walk this morning. Just like we did a year ago. It's been a year, now, since you last walked with us. We still miss you, buddy. The walks are quieter, I walk a lot slower, too. I will probably be seeing you in the not too distant future, but for now I have to stay and help Mom and Dad, and be there for them.

Mom planted some beautiful flowers where you lay now. They are blooming, just like you. You were such a flower, so shy at first. But you opened up your heart to us, and showed us what unconditional love and trust really looks like. We are all better for having you in our lives.

Wow. 2 years ago The Elliott Chronicles had reached 500 followers. We have now reached 1.2 thousand followers! I know we don't post here a lot - life gets busy. But I see you in my notifications, more views every day. I hope many of you are reading through his story, and taking inspiration from it. Love is the Eternal story, and dogs are here to teach us that lesson.

The days are growing longer and warm again. Your Alive Day, March 15, recently passed. It would have marked 11 years with us. But we still see you everywhere. Sometimes the door clicks shut, just a passing breeze pulling it. Or was it you, dear Elliott, coming back in to lay at our feet? Every day without you is a quiet day, but you are not gone from our hearts.
