We've lost 2 great pigs that were around Coco's age in the last 3 months. Oliver and Esther. Esther was 11, Oliver was 13. Coco is 12. She shows no signs of slowing down though. Still catapults onto the table and cabinets to steal food/medicine/plastic bags. 😭🐷💔

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Oliver Chops Hilley, known to most as Oliver the Awesome Pig. Born over twelve years ago, Oliver was adopted a month later by Lauren, who adopted him at the age of 10.

Over the years, we've shared the amazing life of Oliver, his mom, and his crazy family and we can't thank this community enough for the support and love that you've shared with us, and more importantly, him.

In the last few months, we have noticed a decline in his overall health. In the last two weeks, it has rapidly fallen. Seeking help, we consulted with a nearby trusted vet. There, they ran testing and imaging on Oliver and unfortunately the prognosis was not well.

Oliver had bone marrow cancer and the arthritis in his bones was worse than they initially anticipated. Lauren had to make a decision on how to best help him, and though it was heartbreaking, she made the loving decision to help him over the rainbow bridge.

At 8:33PM, on January 4th, 2024, Oliver Chops Hilley peacefully passed away, surrounded by his mom, his Grandma “Snakey”, and Lauren’s Grandpa, “Bampaw”. They were in attendance when he was adopted initially, and were blessed to see him and say their final goodbyes.

At this time, we ask for the sake of his mom and the rest of the family that we have the privacy to celebrate and grieve the life of Oliver the Awesome Pig. We will be monitoring the comments and messages that we receive as a result of the news, but we are expecting a response on a scale we have no experience handling. As a result, please know that if we don’t respond to your well wishes personally, we appreciate them all nonetheless.

I had a lady paint coco's aura. She did mine too, but it wasn't as remarkable. "Your piggy has the most beautiful aura. 🥹 and she has one color that is quite rare for me to see on animals- orange!!! She must be a very happy piggy!! 🥹🥹🥹

Coco is rocking her mad max beyond thunderdome mohawk look in honor of Tina. For real, she is blowing her coat for the summer and in the awkward stage. she’ll be bald before the end of the month.
