Tagalong had a great National this year! Congratulations to Claire’s team on their Award of Merit in deep competition- thank you Judge Dana Cline. And thank you to her fans for voting her Top 20 Peoples Choice-Owner Handled!!

Violet hadn’t shown in 5 years, and came out to place 2nd in a gorgeous 7-9 year Veteran class under Dana Cline.

Esme is a littermate to Thomas, and a daughter of Violet (Ch Tagalong’s Classic Silhouette ) and Drummer (GCH Dartek Eldamar & Journey’s Drumroll).

Owen’s show career started at an early age when he went BOS at WESSA from the puppy classes behind a top-ranked specials bitch. He followed that up by finishing his Championship at the National going Winners Dog at just 13 months old. Just two months later, he won his first Specialty Best of Breed. And just weeks after that, his first group placement – all owner-handled. He went on to win a big Specialty before the National, and to be recognized by many judges in group competition. One of my proudest moments with Owen was winning back-to-back all breed Best-in Show’s – something I had dreamed of, but never thought would actually happen.As a sire, Owen has 75 US and Canadian Champions – the #2 top-producing black and white sire in the history of the breed. He has been recognized as Show Sire of the Year 4 times, and Runner-Up Show Sire once. His get have won multiple awards at the National level, several of his get were Nationally ranked group winners and placers, All-Breed and Specialty BIS winners, a Westminster AOM winner, as well as producing Show Sire and Show Dam of the year. His get are also titling in tracking, rally, agility and obedience – additionally several of his offspring are Therapy dogs too. Owen is known for consistently producing beautiful movement, breed type, balance, good health, and easy-to-live-with temperaments – a testament to the top producers he is descended from. His impact as a sire continues to be evident in his grand- and great-grand get as well who have won the breed at Westminster, All-Breed Best In Show and Specialty Best In Show Winners, been top producers, and Show Dog of the Year.I will be forever indebted to my friend, Owen’s breeder and co-owner, Rebecca Hoskins for entrusting me with a puppy who was all I could ever ask for. I am also ever grateful to the breeders who have sent their beautiful bi***es to Owen, the owners who exhibited his offspring, and anyone else that made his achievements as a sire possible.

Canine Respiratory Illness:
Please be aware that this illness has been found in most states in the US, not just the ones listed in the article.

PLEASE: if your dog has a cough, eye or nasal discharge, lethargy, difficulty breathing, or a fever, talk to your vet immediately. It is very important to ISOLATE sick dogs, as this is a highly infectious illness. If at all possible, avoid dog parks, daycare, and anywhere else dogs may congregate. Don’t allow direct contact, or shared items like water bowls, toys, etc., with dogs outside your household. Ask your vet about the canine flu vaccine, bordatella, and any other recommended vaccines. This illness is very serious, and in some cases deadly.

Scientists at the University of New Hampshire may have identified a pathogen that has sickened possibly thousands of dogs and killed some of them across the country.
