Meet Bearon! This handsome hunk with the beautiful eyes is a 3 year old, 65 pound, Great Dane & Catahoula mix (we think). He's house and crate trained, and walks well on leash. He's looking for his forever family and would like a home where he's your only kiddo (human or furry).

A little more about Bearon: He can be wary of strangers and does best with slow introductions. Once he knows you, he's quite the love bug and very sweet. He gets along well with other dogs but would do best as an only pet due to his occasional tendency to guard his food or toys. He's an energetic boy and a fenced backyard would be very helpful in getting his energy out each day. Once he's gotten his exercise, he's ready for a good snooze on the couch with you.

Winter Jasmine is a beautiful, sweet, playful lab mix who always has a smile on her face. She came into rescue when her owner fell ill and could no longer care for her. She is dog friendly and house trained and is the perfect size at only 45 pounds.

Are you looking for a snuggle buddy and constant companion? Nylaa is your girl! Nylaa is a 3 year old, pittie mixed-breed, at a perfect size of 50 pounds. She is 100% house trained and crate trained, loves to play with other dogs, and absolutely LOVES children! She is medium energy - she would love a fenced yard to do her zoomies and sunbathe (though a fenced yard is not a requirement). She also loves leash walks. She is also very happy to lay on the couch and watch TV with her people or sit at your feet while you work.

Nylaa takes a little while to warm up to new people that come into her home (she will bark at them initially), but once she's comfortable, she is truly everyone's best friend! Nylaa needs a family that can be patient with her when new people come over, but the good news is she doesn't mind the crate at all, so she can easily be put up when a repair person comes, etc. Nylaa does excellent when meeting people and other dogs outside the home (vet, walks, parks, etc). Nylaa currently lives with a 5 year old and 9 year old child and she absolutely adores them. She prefers to sleep in bed with one of her humans!

Meet Ruth Iris
You may notice the scar on my face; it's a testament to my bravery and resilience. Despite my hardships, I greet each day with optimism and an endless capacity for love. I am living proof that a scar does not define who you are but tells a story of strength and survival. The vet thinks I'm about 5.5 years old. I haven't kept track - I just put one paw before the other. Physically, I'm pretty petite at approximately 35 pounds.

I might not have teeth, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying life to the fullest. Soft foods and lots of love from my human friends are all I need to stay healthy and happy. My toothless smile will undoubtedly warm your heart and remind you that a joyful spirit can overcome physical obstacles.

My short tail wiggles with excitement whenever I see a friendly face. I believe in spreading happiness and making everyone feel loved and cherished. A short tail might be unconventional, but it doesn't affect my ability to share endless affection and tail wags.

I'm a true optimist and see the beauty in every moment. I enjoy leisurely walks, belly rubs, and spending quality time with my human friends. My gentle nature and loving personality make me the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal and affectionate friend. I'm well-mannered in the house, only go potty outside, and will settle nicely in a crate.

A loving and understanding home that values compassion and patience would be a dream come true for me. I'd thrive in a calm and supportive environment where I can continue to build trust and form a lasting bond with my new family. Martine Mac is an orphan. His owner died but he doesn’t understand. He doesn’t know it wasn’t her choice to leave him. He just knows there is a dark hole in his chest where his heart used to be, and he aches for her in a way that words can’t explain.

We can’t tell him things will get better, but we made a promise to show him. To hold him, love him, care for him, and give him time to accept a new life that he didn’t want, but that he needs.

Update - It was 22 degrees last night, but Ashely Ann was safe and warm in her Christmas jammies (photo in comments). Thats the difference a foster parent makes!

Nope, that’s not Dean Martin crooning to a bevy of beauties. It’s the dog catcher calling out to Ashley Ann.

This is no weather for dogs to be outside, especially 5 pound puppies without a proper fur coat. We’re not sure if Ashley Ann escaped into the cold or was dumped by her family. All we know is that she needed to come in from the cold.

We walked into the shelter to bring Christmas treats and saw this guy. We all had to take a second look because at first glance each of us was convinced he was a baby goat (a kid). We were assured he really was a dog. He assured us he was a dog, but also a goat (the greatest of all time).

Surely we could not leave the GOAT in the shelter!

So meet Lofton. This little goat needs grooming and a trip to the vet. He’s estimated to be 5 years old, but he’s not been neutered. It looks like he is cryptorchid, which means one of his te**es is hanging out up near his kidneys. So we know his neuter will be more expensive than a dog who has them dangling.

Have you met our best kept secret Petunia Faye?

Petunia is a 5 year old, 78 lbs. Boxer mix. You would think that a girl her size would be a lot to handle, but not Petunia! She is a very “go with the flow kind of girl.” She loves to do whatever her people are doing. Do you want to have a Netflix and chill kind of day? Well, she’ll be right there with you. Do you want to play tug of war in the yard? She'll ring over her toy! Wanna go get a pup cup and come right back home? She’ll be waiting by the car. This girl can accompany you on a five mile walk or just cuddle on the couch for a long nap and keep you warm.

She loves everyone she meets. Her laid back personality makes her one of our favorites. She is the epitome of what a rescue dog personifies, just happy to be around and enjoy whatever her people are doing. Her foster mom raves about how well she does with dogs of all sizes and kids of all ages.

Help!!! So here is the update on our precious Coco Princess!!

She is getting an FHO surgery. Her hip has been dislocated a long time and won't go back in, can you even imagine the pain she has been through, so they cut the ball that would normally go into the hip socket off and make sure its smooth, the body then sort of forms a false joint with scar tissue and muscle to allow her to move without pain (right now its bone on bone grinding on bone😥😥. It will be $1500. Please please donate if you can. Thank you!

EMERGENCY!!! MY LEG HURTS!!! ANYBODY?

Is anyone out there? I was adopted from a shelter then returned to another shelter in this shape. I know I look a mess. I needed to be groomed. I just can’t!! My leg is out of its socket. It hurts if you touch it. I bow my head in shame and in pain! I am not a cute little puppy. I am already 8 years old! Am I worth it? Maybe there’s someone here that’s less expensive and younger and they deserve to be saved more than me. I think we all deserve a second chance.

Is there any happiness in my future? I only weigh 10 pounds.
WILL 3 TIMES BE MY CHARM??

Why did this happen during the holiday season for me? For shelter dogs and dogs not wanted by their owner, there is no such thing as a holiday season. Just suffering and sadness.
I badly need a vet!!

So could you give up a present and donate to me. Coco Princess? I don’t feel like a princess. I guess maybe they’re giving me that name because perhaps it’s foreshadowing what I will become once fixed up.
