For those of you stopping by to see us at the fall festival today, please be kind to my husband as he didn’t get much sleep after a stressful night for our family. I’ve been sick all week, and after last night I decided to stay home and rest. I really hoped that when I woke up this morning I would realize that last night was just a bad dream. Unfortunately, it wasn’t, and I’m devastated. At 12:38 pm we woke up suddenly to a very loud and unusual meow from our cat Petunia “Tunie.” Within seconds she tried to get up and collapsed in my arms losing all control of her back legs. Michael quickly rushed her to the emergency vet where they did an ultrasound and found an 8mm blood clot. They told us there wasn’t anything they could do for her. In the matter of an hour, my girl was gone. I’m so sad because Tunie was always my sidekick. We rescued her from Swamp Haven after she had been hit by a car. She’s the first pet Michael and I adopted when we got married almost 9 years ago. October is already a difficult month for our family…it marks my grandmothers passing 2 years ago, Lucy’s passing this time last year, and now Tunie. Really praying for brighter Octobers in our future. 😢😢😢

Tunie, I’m thankful for the 9 years we had together sweet girl. You’ve befriended many pets we’ve had in our home, from chickens to bunnies, dogs, and cats. You accepted Camille even before she was born, and quickly became her sidekick too. I’ve never had a bond with a cat the way I did with Tunie…you’ll forever be missed beautiful girl.

9 hours under the trees in Stone Mountain today with great weather and the friendliest customers! Starting the day in 68 degrees had this Florida girl in a sweatshirt this morning 😂🍂🍁

It was a great start to our 4 day show, and we’re excited to see what tomorrow brings!
