We take the welfare of our cats and kittens seriously. Each receives the best in food and vet care, as well as hours of love and cuddling. This year, we are asking for a donation of $225 for a single kitten and $200 each for a pair of kittens. The amount for cats over 1-year-old is still $150. All of our cats are checked out by a vet, vaccinated, spayed/neutered and tested for the FIV and feline leukemia viruses.

📣 Great News for CT Pet Owners BUT YOU MUST ACT QUICKLY 🐾
🐾The Connecticut Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for the Low-Income Spay/Neuter Program!
🐾This program helps make essential veterinary care more affordable for families across our state. Eligible pet owners can receive electronic vouchers for up to TWO pets, issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

✨ Who’s Eligible?
You must:
✔️ Live in Connecticut
✔️ Receive benefits through the CT Department of Social Services, such as:
• SNAP
• Husky A, C, or D (Medicaid)
• SAGA
• TFA
• State Supplement

🐾What the Voucher Covers (good at participating vets only):
• Spay/neuter surgery
• Two vaccinations per pet
• Reimbursement rates:
– $200 female dog
– $180 male dog
– $120 female cat
– $80 male cat

🐾Please note: If the participating veterinarian charges more than the voucher amount, the pet owner is responsible for the remaining balance.
💙 This is an incredible opportunity to provide vital care for your pets while helping reduce the number of homeless animals in our communities. Apply as soon as possible—funding is limited (program typically fills in days)! Go to their website and register or log in to get started.

📖✨ New Book Just Released: A Tale of Friendship & Color!
Our volunteer author Susan’s latest story, Maggie and the Sun: How Tortoiseshell Cats Got Their Colors, is here — and it’s pure magic. ✨
This heartwarming tale celebrates friendship and kindness, shining brightest through Maggie, our beautiful 2-year-old tortie who has been waiting over a year for a home. 🌈🐱
Each book in this special series features a real Friends of Felines cat woven into timeless cat lore — and Susan is generously donating $15 from the sale of each book to Friends of Felines.

🚨 We’re running low on small cat carriers! 🚨
🐾Our carriers are constantly on the move—foster homes, new rescues, and cats-in-transit. The smaller size (19-24 inches) carriers are the ones we rely on most, and our supply is low.
🐾If you like to donate a used hard carrier (in good condition and clean), or if you’d like to send one our way via our wishlists, we’d be so grateful. Every carrier helps keep our cats safe and our rescue running smoothly. 💛
🐾Drop-off details: Donation Box in Just Cat Veterinary Hospital Lobby (1029 E. Main St., Stamford, CT)
🐾Wishlists: See Chewy and Amazon links in comments.
🐾Thank you, as always, for supporting our cats and the people who care for them. 💛

💙 Nobody wants Levi… and it’s breaking our hearts.

Two years ago, we rescued him from severe abuse. He was in pain and traumatized. Now he’s a big, loving, goofy, big-hearted boy who tries so hard to show he’s worth loving.

But he’s still waiting. All he asks is to be your only pet.

Levi is FIV+, but healthy—and FIV+ cats live just as long as any other cat. Please don’t let that be the reason he gets overlooked.

He turns 4 on January 1st. PLEASE help us find him a home so he doesn’t spend another birthday behind bars.

🐾 Share him. Ask about him. Help him finally get his family.

👉 Visit our website to submit an adoption application and come meet Levi. 💙
