We take the welfare of our cats and kittens seriously. Each receives the best in food and vet care, as well as hours of love and cuddling. This year, we are asking for a donation of $225 for a single kitten and $200 each for a pair of kittens. The amount for cats over 1-year-old is still $150. All of our cats are checked out by a vet, vaccinated, spayed/neutered and tested for the FIV and feline leukemia viruses.

🌟Meet Tillie, an adventurous 4-month-old kitten with a story as remarkable as her big personality!🌟
🐾Just a month and a half ago, a compassionate passerby heard desperate cries from beneath the hood of a car. After tracking down the car's owner, they discovered a tiny kitten trapped in the dark, cramped engine, covered in grease, underweight, and with a badly burned paw. But with the expert medical care of our vets, the brave little girl we named Tillie healed beautifully. Now, she's all set for her next big adventure: finding a forever home!
🐾After six weeks in a tiny recovery cage, Tillie has lots to catch up on. She’s a playtime enthusiast, zooming after toys, batting at feather wands, and tackling any game that comes her way. She would love a companion who has an equally lively spirit. Are you ready for this little spark of joy and curiosity to fill your days with play and love? Tillie can’t wait for the next adventure to begin! Tillie’s estimated birthday is 7/12/24.
🐾The first step is to submit the online adoption application on our website. She must be adopted into a home with an age- and energy-appropriate companion within 45 miles of Stamford, CT.

🎉 Adoption Announcement: Jules found his forever family! 🎉
Jules was a gentle stray who showed up looking for kindness, and with the help of our amazing community, he found it. ♥️Sadly, there are so many tame strays out there. While we wish we had the resources to rescue and rehome each one, we celebrate today's small but meaningful victory. Each adoption is a step forward, bringing happiness to cats and people alike.🐈‍⬛ 🥰 Please join us in wishing Jules and his new family endless joy, cozy snuggles, and happy days ahead. 🐾💙

💞Meet Skye & Molly: A Loving Pair Seeking a Forever Home💞
🐾With a heavy heart, their current owner is looking for a loving home for two cherished companions due to unexpected life changes. This sweet pair, a 5.5-year-old female Birman named Skye and a 5-year-old female British Shorthair named Molly, have been together their whole lives and share a strong bond. They are healthy and current on vaccinations.
🐾Skye is a typical Birman, very loyal, gentle and loving! She is the alpha of the pair and quietly lets everyone know that! She is gorgeous and likes to have a conversation with her humans! Molly is an easy-going foodie. She loves to lay on her back and be loved. They are well-behaved, sweet cats raised around kids and dogs.
🐾Skye and Molly would love to find a home together to continue their special bond. Their current owner describes them as incredibly loved and well-adjusted. They are used to being adored and deserve to find a family that offers them the same care and affection. Help these two stay together and give them a second chance to find a forever home where they can feel safe and loved again.
🐾Interested in adopting Skye and Molly? Please submit the online adoption application on our website.

Good advice

Good advice

In most cases, cats will figure out how to use shelters on their own. Here are a few things you can do to attract them if it doesn't seem like your cats are using the shelter:

▪️Be patient. Some cats need a lot of time to get comfortable with a new shelter.
▪️Loosely fill the shelter ½ to ¾ full of straw, NOT HAY. Replace the straw every year.
▪️Remove any door flaps on the shelter. While doorway flaps help keep cold air out and warm air in, they should not be added until after your cats are used to going in and out of the shelter.
▪️Do not place food in or near the shelter. Cats instinctively avoid sleeping near food as it attracts other cats and wildlife (predators).
▪️Location is important. Place the shelter where your cats are already hanging out. More feral/less social cats typically want to shelter farther away from humans. The more secluded the shelter, the more likely cats are to use it.
▪️Place the shelter near natural cover, as opposed to out in the open where your cats may not feel safe. Cats prefer to move along walls, hedges or other natural barriers and boundaries. Place the shelter under or up against a building, fence, tree, porch, bush or some type of overhang.
▪️Place the shelter with the entrance facing away from the wind, rain and snow.
▪️Make sure the shelter is on a flat surface. A wobbly shelter could discourage cats from entering.
▪️It’s possible that your cats have another shelter where they feel safe. They may already have a shed, crawlspace or some other shelter they prefer.
▪️When all else fails, try a new location, but only after giving your cats plenty of time to explore and get used to the current location.
(We thank FeralVilla.com for this great advice!)

THANK YOU to the caregivers who have taken the time to build a feral cat shelter. Protection from the elements is critical, especially during the cold months, and your thoughtfulness will no doubt save many lives this winter.

🩶Meet Alfred, our wonderful, resilient street survivor, ready for his forever home!🩶
🐾Our big, beautiful boy, Alfred, came to us from one of our feeding stations about a year ago. He seemed to be an old, stiff street cat worn down by life outdoors, and with winter setting in, we brought him inside. But when our vet examined him, we learned he was much younger than he looked; it was only his injured, shattered paw and gimpy hip damaged in some unknown trauma that made Alfred seem so ancient.
🐾One year later, Alfred has absolutely blossomed in foster care. This 4-year-old boy has healed well enough to be a happy and mellow purring machine craving attention and companionship. Pat the couch next to you; he’ll be by your side in a flash. Hold up a brush, and he’ll take the lead, rubbing his chin against it, almost grooming himself!
🐾Like many former tomcats biologically forced to fight for territory and love, Alfred tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). But Alfred will live a normal life if given the love and care all cats deserve. What's most important about our Alfred is he’s a big, handsome, and soulful boy looking for a family to cuddle with.
🐾Are you ready to meet Alfred? The first step is to submit the adoption application on our website. Adopters must live within 45 miles of Stamford, CT.

🐱National Cat Day 🐱
🐾Today, we’re spotlighting the many cats in our community who desperately need a lifeline. Strays searching for a meal, fragile kittens fighting to survive, beloved pets facing homelessness, abandoned cats left in soon-to-be-demolished buildings, and more—each of these lives matters, and each deserves a chance.
🐾How can you help? There are many ways: ✨ Donate – Every dollar helps feed, shelter, and care for these cats. ✨ Foster – Provide a temporary safe space for cats in need. ✨ Adopt – Give a cat or kitten a loving forever home. ✨ Volunteer – Your time makes an incredible impact. See our website for more details on each.
🐾Meet Saffron and her babies, Butterscotch and Nugget. Without your support, the Kittens' chances of reaching their first birthday would have been heartbreakingly low. Your compassion made this family’s rescue possible and brought them a new beginning. ❤️
Let’s keep working together to save lives, one cat at a time.

🚨 Big news from Team Juniper! 🚨 Our sweet 2-year-old Juniper has left the building! 🎉 After spending most of her life with us, Juniper moved to a cozy home thanks to another amazing foster family. This may look like an everyday cat snapshot, but it's actually a HUGE milestone. She’s traded the hustle and bustle of the boarding facility for a quiet, comfy home where she can just be herself—no drama, just snuggles - as we continue our search for her forever home! 😻
