Our human was sent home early this afternoon as the late night watch person had called in sick. Our human is "on call" for such call outs so it's a good thing that Amari's show tomorrow has been canceled. Because of getting home earlier than normal our human decided to swap us around fir the afternoon to allow Zion to get used to being on the track without Dream or Amari there. So far so good. Our human would like to have us all back on the track together asap.

Here is Zion's DNA results. It's confirmed he is negative for cream so he is a Chestnut.

You can just chill as Matamata A&P Show has just informed us that it's Show this weekend has been canceled due to ground conditions. Now our human needs to rethink Amari's shows to insure we can get her to enough shows to Qualify for HoY.

Due mainly to weather our human hasn't been able to film much of Zion's training. Most of has been done dodging showers! However whole today was windy their was little risk on her equipment getting rained on so she decided to show you his progress.
He has graduated from needing the harness and is starting to be come confident being led like a adult horse! She has the aim to take him to his first show on the 2nd of November to gain valuable showing experience with me as his support. As our human doesn't like traveling too far with babies it leaves on 3 possible A&P shows for us to attend this season. Unfortunately the one that would have been the closest isn't being held this year!
The shows that are a bit further away are the shows my daughter Amari will be attending. This weekend is her first A&P Show for the season, Matamata A&P Show!

Today I officially turned 9 years old! What a journey it's been!

It's official! Amari is now registered with the Sport and Performance Horse Association! Now we are starting the process...

It's official! Amari is now registered with the Sport and Performance Horse Association!
Now we are starting the process of getting Zion registered with the Warmblood Association. There is a little more that needs to be done for his registration than Amari's. He needs to be DNA verified to his sire Malfy (and have had to organize Malfy to be DNA verified to his sire Stallone K who is a registered Warmblood) those samples were received by the lab last week. We also need to organize a microchip for him so when he hets branded at around 3 months old it can be done at the same time. We are also going to try getting the vet verification paperwork for doing his official markings to be on hand by then (waiting for that to arrive for Amari was part of what took so long getting her registered!)
Hopefully he will be registered in time to join the Warmblood Association foal tour early next year!

So our new routine for now is during the day Dream joins me and Zion. The heifer Marigold joins Amari on the track to be her buddy. Then at night Dream goes back on the track with Amari and Marigold rejoined the sheep. We're wait till Zion is a big bigger before introducing Amari.
