Stormpie is on fire!! 🔥
Sure, she can still get a tad over-enthusiastic sometimes, and I admit, it’s usually because I get a little too carried away with my own excitement (apologies to everyone nearby... 😅)
But seriously, can we talk about how she’s starting to carry herself more and more lately? I couldn’t be prouder! 💪🏼
How’s your own motivation holding up with the weather turning quite autumnal? 🍂
Stalker alert 🚨
Does your (care) horse follow you everywhere you go?
You have curious, you have clumsy and you have Storm, a combination of both 🤦🏼♀️
but just walk it away like nothing ever happened 😂

Twinning is winning 👯♀️
They’re side by side all the time. I (thought I) was filming how they walked to the fence almost in sync, but I started recording when I wanted to stop, smart me.. but this is still cute if you ask me 😍

Not sure what to think of banana 🍌🤔
Play date without snow 💫 i told you i didn’t know what storms favorite “trick” is, but i do know what the hardest is: “simply” waiting seems to be very tough 🙄😂
• RIDING UPDATE •
So most of you know we had a really hard time finding a proper fitting saddle. We haven’t been able to ride for 4 months. After those 4 months we mostly made trail rides to get her back in shape. Now, 8 months later, we’re starting to pick up dressage again. But it’s hard, Storm is really unbalanced and bending is difficult for her.
You can clearly see she’s having a hard time (this was the first canter during our first lesson). That’s also the reason I won’t practice a lot. I’m pretty sure I’ll get a realllly moody and unmotivated horse if I’m going to practice more than twice a week (she definitely shows what she likes and dislikes 😅). Also we still practice bending and balance with the groundwork exercises @lovedonna thought us. (This lesson was 2 weeks ago, a couple days ago she offered me a canter on circle all by herself whilst we were doing groundwork, something she definitely wouldn’t have done a couple weeks ago. Guess that’s a sign we’re improving already). It’s not that I want to do high dressage work but i think it’s important that she learns to use her body in a correct way and put her weight on her hindquarter more otherwise I’m afraid it’ll cause problems long term.
If anyone has more tips or exercises that’ll be good to practice I’d love to hear. ❤️
Baby steps, Spanish walk under the saddle 💕 with storms trademark move at the end 😂
Trail ride with company 🐑
Storm in haar onstuimige bui 😅🌪
When people are watching and Storm decides it's about time to give her own show.. look at that proud face paying zero attention to me 😅 she was supposed to lift up her hind legs but as soon as "her public" started to laugh when lifting her front legs she lost focus and decided to do that a couple more times, which ended up in a Spanish walk. But lets be honest a horse like her deserves her own show, right?.. 😂
