Sammie Davis Jr. & his brother, Sinatra are looking for a home to celebrate their FIRST CHRISTMAS! These handsome male kittens are almost 16 weeks old and wanting to be home FUR the holidays!🌲 These boys were rescued from a large cat colony in early October and they are finally ready for their debut! Don't let them fool you ... They may be a tad reserved in the beginning, but give them time to show you what they are all about! They LOVE to play & rough house, enjoy catnip and are quite fond of canned cat food! Sammie is the life of the party and will steal the show! He's not fond of being held or confined for long (most kittens are similar). He will however rub all over your legs and accept lots of pets! Sammie hangs back until his brother is distracted, then let the pet session begin! He is very food motivated and will warm up to his new family in no time.

Tuesday, December 3rd is 'GIVING TUESDAY. ' We are sure your news feed has been flooded with multiple organizations asking for your support today. Admittedly, it's overwhelming especially in this economic uncertainty. Meet Pikachu & Riuchu ❤️

**ADOPTION FEE SPECIAL OF $50/KITTEN - QUALIFIED ADOPTER ONLY! **

These two have been at Pet Supplies Plus - Solon, OH for a while. This is their second time up at the store and we are so sad that they have had not one application. 😢 Please bring them home for the holidays!

Instead of snuggling and playing with a family that will love and cherish them, they are stuck in the cage. They both love to play, they don’t mind being brushed and enjoy chin scratches. Pikachu can be a little shy until he gets to know you, but is a lovebug. Riuchu has beautiful long hair and is more outgoing, he loves pets and scratches. They are both under a year old and fully vetted.

It's ! 🌬️❄️🏠🌡️🐈 Are two doors better than one for cat shelters? We say NO! Two doors could offer an additional escape route from predators stalking a cat shelter, but drawbacks include excessive heat loss, more moisture coming in, and an extra entrance for the cats to monitor. And cats shouldn't have to flee their cozy sleeping quarters if a coyote, dog, or other predator comes around. We recommend a 1-door shelter that's part of a holistic colony management plan to maximize both safety and comfort for cats. Strategies include:

• Make shelter doors small (5x5 inches square or 5.5 inches round) to keep cats safe and warm. Small doors minimize heat loss and are big enough for cats, but they keep larger animals out.
• Give cats protected access to shelters by adding a mudroom, entry tunnel, or breezeway. Or have the door face a wall or fence to create a cat-width safety corridor.
• Feed according to best practices (on a schedule, no leftovers) to discourage mooching critters from hanging around.
• Place shelters away from your feeding station in case wildlife come by for fresh water.

A winter shelter should let cats conserve their energy and take refuge from the cold, cruel world. If a predator ever sniffs around a well-built, well-placed, 1-door shelter, the cats inside can just hunker down and wait for them to get bored and go away.

🌈 Last week we were able to help a resident of Cleveland by laying his dog to rest, after being diagnosed with an aggressive tumor on the paw. Here is a picture of Pooh! The initial estimate was $100 (euthanasia). However, the bill was actual $240 (euthanasia plus cremation). We have raised $100 already but if you would like to donate towards the balance of the bill, we would appreciate it.

We are so grateful to have the support of our Facebook family and friends to help a purrfect stranger and his pup! 🌈

As many of you know, we care for a number of feral cats in the downtown area by the Cleveland Clinic. One of the residents has a severely sick dog. Two different people have stepped up and paid for the dog to be seen by a veterinarian. Unfortunately, it is a cancerous mass and the owner has finally agreed to euthanize his pet. The APL will do the euthanasia for $100 but he cannot afford it. If you'd like to contribute a few dollars to help cover the cost please consider making a donation. We will cover it initially, but with all of the extra costs we have incurred with our own rescues and feral cats, we need help from our community!

🐾 EXPERIENCED CAT WHISPERER NEEDED! 🐾
Meet Miss Daisy! This beautiful 1-year-old female was trapped a couple weeks ago and developed severe diarrhea and vomiting. She is all better now and as you can see from the video, NOT super feral. She is less than 1 years old and scheduled to be RELEASED in the next day or 2. Just looking to see if an experienced cat whisperer might be able to work with her for a week or 2. We just want to give her the best possible chance at finding an indoor home. We know everyone is full and has a lot going on but if this is something you might want to give a try please let us know. We can provide supplies.

Kelley's Kritters is closed for intake until further notice!

🐾 Please do not tag me in posts regarding cats or kittens. Do not send me Facebook messages regarding cats or kittens.

🐾 Adoptions have been very slow so we are backed up.

🐾 Donations have been slower than usual (but we are super grateful for those who continue their support)!

🐾 Foster homes and volunteers have declined in the last year so we are only able to house cats and kittens when we have foster homes available!

Sorry if this is an inconvenience. On occasion other people need to be inconvenienced so they understand the magnitude of the problem that exists every year with kittens and kittens season.
