About Burrendale Gundogs

Originally from Burren in County Down, Ireland and now living in Mellor, Lancashire, Tony O'Hare has been training and competing Labradors for over 10 years. He has achieved great success throughout his gundog career so far and is extremely proud to have represented Ireland at International level several times.

Coming from a shooting background - with his grandfather, father and brothers interested in country sports - it was almost inevitable Tony would have an interest in shooting. However he has found his real passion is for training, working and competing gundogs.

His dedication and hard work paid off when he made his first Labrador, Burren Injector (Bomber) up to Field Trial Champion within 2 years, followed by his bitch, Tyrrellison Star Dreamer (Maisy) at just 22 months old. He describes these as his proudest moments in his career so far.
