It’s hard to write this. Although we knew something was wrong and that it was just a matter of time, we weren’t prepared for how sudden it happened. (But you can’t really ever prepare to say goodbye to a piece of your heart, can you?)

Jax got his wings early this morning. It was a very sudden downturn with very little chance of coming back from, so we did what we thought was best for our sweet boy. It came down to spleen cancer and most likely very bad pneumonia that the cancer wasn’t going to let him come back from.

Jax battled through Valley Fever and came out a champ. We spoiled him more and got him fat, but a healthy diet turned him back into a puppy. Then he begun having episodes, almost like little strokes, that were getting closer together and lasting longer. I don’t know how or if they were related to the growing cancer, but I guess it doesn’t really matter now.

He was so photogenic! I attribute much of Broomstick’s success to his photoshoots. Jax was very well mannered and would follow my direction each and every time. He was the best taste tester, and he absolutely loved his job.

I can’t believe he’s gone. Who is going to follow me around the house? Who is going to clean up the floor in the kitchen when I make a mess? Who am I going to play keep away and hide & seek with? Luna is a wonderful girl, and I love her bunches. We're blessed to have her. But she’s not like Jax and doesn’t do the things that made Jax the special, loving boy he was.

Jax loved everyone and everyone was his best friend forever after the first seconds of meeting. Such a big thank you to everyone who knew him and gave him wonderful memories he’ll keep forever.

The Woof & Purr Pet Treat Recipe Book is coming along very well! These are screenshots of the Table of Contents.

All of the artwork and graphics are done also. The bulk of the work remaining is finishing the content and writing little introductions for each recipe.

It's DIY time! This one is for your house lions. 🦁😻🦁

Making this catnip toy for Binx was fun. She goes nuts for catnip so I had to close the door to the hobby room to keep her out while I made it. I wish I'd had my phone because her paws were reaching out from underneath the door. I swear she was saying ‘hurry up! hurry up!’ 😹😹

The cat toy is super easy to make with baby socks, some jute rope, dried catnip, and polyfill.

Kitty-sitting these two cuties! 😻 I made them a catnip toy out of baby socks and they love it! (I'll going to post a "how-to" soon. It's super easy and a great family activity.)

🐦‍⬛ Have you ever made wild bird seed cakes? 🐦‍⬛ They are SO easy and it's a fun DIY for the whole family!

You can use pretty much any mold and also cookie cutters to get fun shapes. For Easter, I made a few bunny and egg shapes. Swipe to see! For everyday, I make the square ones to go into the suet baskets.

Hi, everyone! I’m so sorry for not sharing updates on the Woof & Purr recipe book. Forgive me! I’ve made a lot of progress but I keep adding to it. A friend reminded me the other day that I don’t have to; I can publish a second edition. That little piece of wisdom was what I needed to hear! 🤦‍♀️ Thank you Goodboy Wear 🤗
