We create and curate the best products on the internet for the common problems of your aging four-legged family members PawFriction is a revolutionary pawpad coating system that increases traction, improves stability and enhances your dog’s quality of life. PawFriction is a veterinarian-recommended paw pad coating for dogs that have difficulty standing and walking on smooth floors. The PawFricti
on coating enhances your dog’s downward leg force by preventing lateral slipping and splay-legging. With PawFriction, you can apply a coating that impoves your dog’s paw’s grip, reduces their risk of injury, builds muscle tone, and adds confidence. PawFriction was developed by a veterinarian and is non-toxic. Frequently Asked Questions/concerns:
1. We aren’t getting a full 7 days per application. PawFriction’s lasting time varies on each dog. It is affected by the size of the dog, any exposure to moisture or wet grass, activity level of the dog, and the surfaces each dog is walking on can make a difference on how quickly the product wears off.
2. Does PawFriction affect a dog’s ability to sweat and cool on their paw pads? Since PawFriction is applied to the contact surfaces of the paw pads, there is still quite a bit of surface area exposed to allow for sweating. However, PawFriction does not impede sweat production completely even in the areas applied. One of the reasons PawFriction doesn’t stay around as long as it could is because sweat loosens the bond of the adhesive. Finally, most of a dog’s cooling is done through the tongue and panting which is not effected by PawFriction.
3. Does PawFriction prevent my dog from damage from walking on hot pavement/asphalt? The short answer is that we don’t know. We are currently investigating into whether or not PawFriction protects against heat. Since rubber is a poor conductor of heat there is likely some protection against high temperatures but we cannot recommend using PawFriction for that purpose at this time.
4. How often should we apply PawFriction? PawFriction is meant to be applied as often as necessary to keep your dog from sliding. We recommend peeling any residual amount off before re-applying the product.
5. Is PawFriction locally available in my area? Currently, PawFriction is only available online. We are working with veterinarians to start carrying PawFriction in veterinary clinics. If you are a veterinarian and are interested in carrying PawFriction in your clinic, please contact us at [email protected] for wholesale information.
