Tiny Dinosaur Farms Reptile breeder specializing in captive born and bred Ambilobe Panther Chameleons.

At Tiny Dinosaur Farms we are committed to raising reptiles in limited numbers to ensure that we can maintain a high level of personalized hands-on care for each animal. Currently we are focusing on Panther Chameleons (Furcifer Pardalis) and Carpet Chameleons (Furcifer Lateralis). From the day they hatch, we raise all of our chameleons as pets which includes free range time, acclimation to people,

and introduction to a diverse range of foods. This ensures that I am familiar with the mood and affect of each animal and allows me to work with any that need it so that they will be hardy and well prepared for their transition to their new home. Our chameleons often adjust quickly, sometimes eating the same day that you get them and fully making themselves at home within a few days. We still advise waiting one to two weeks before trying to handle your chameleon so that they can establish their new territory and get completely comfortable with their new habitat, but they often allow you to handle them much sooner thanks to the early and constant exposure we give them. To that end we keep only a few breeding pairs and we give them extended breaks between breeding sessions for the female's wellbeing. Additionally, this spacing ensures that we always have ample room for all of our young chameleons while allowing us to keep our attention focused on each clutch as they continue to grow rather than having our time and energy consumed with a constant stream of hatchlings. You won't see expansive racks of animals in cramped minimalistic caging at our facility. The downside of this method is that frequently we won't have any animals available to sell. However, we feel this allows us to offer a higher quality of reptile and also free us up to answer questions quickly and provide support in real time. Our narrow focus also means that we have in-depth working knowledge of the animals we keep including domestic care techniques, health and diet, natural habitat, behavior, body mechanics, and natural history. The goal being to go beyond meeting the minimum requirements for the animal to survive and attempt to apply this knowledge in a way that allows the animal to thrive. Keeping reptiles is a serious hobby for us not a source of primary income and we hope to help others enjoy the hobby as much as we do. All of the extra work we put into raising our reptiles is done to ensure success for motivated first time reptile keepers. We have care sheets and other educational resources available and you are encouraged to speak with our breeder, regardless of your experience level, before your purchase. We will help with you to determine if the reptile you want is appropriate for you based on the level of difficulty you are willing or able to take on. We will also advise you as you prepare for your new pet in order ensure that you are as successful as possible and you are encouraged to contact us at any time with questions or concerns about your reptile throughout it's life. We are passionate about our reptiles and look forward to sharing our enthusiasm with you.
