Waggology Dog Training Lets us bring the wag back in your tail. We can help you with your dog. Your training plan will be customized to your needs and the needs of your dog.

We believe in using positive reinforcement to train your dog because it is a proven method that works. We come to you and evaluate your dog in its own environment and we will set up a training plan to fix the problem and restore peace in your life. We service San Francisco, Marin, Berkeley, Albany, and El Cerrito. Below are descriptions of some of our services. Puppy Training- We cater to puppy so

cialization and puppy training (5 months and younger). The first 4-5 months of a dogs life is key in how it will turn out as an adult dog. They need to be socialized to new people, places and other dogs in a safe and controlled environment. I use my own dogs to socialize your puppy to safe adult dogs and I can take your puppy to puppy socials to socialize with other puppies. We will work on Crate training, leash walking and basic commands to ensure your puppy starts off on the right paw. We will work with you and your schedule to give your new puppy the proper training and socialization. Each puppy is different and we will customize your puppy's training according to it and your needs. Contact us for more information and pricing if you are interested in this service. Day Training - For those of you who have a dog in need of training but have a busy and hectic schedule, this is for you! We will assess your dog and write up a plan and we will come in during the day to train your dog. You will receive a proof session to proof the training that was agreed upon. We do the work and make sure your dog gets trained, taking the pressure off of you. Coaching - For those of you that have the time and energy to work with your dog, this is what you are looking for. We will come in once a week and assist you in training your dog, by giving you clear hands on, one on one instruction. We will meet on a weekly basis, in which we will asses your dogs progress and help with any concerns. Consult $120.00 - This consists of an assessment of your dog's behavior in it's own environment. The consult may last 90 minutes, part of the time will be used to assess your dogs problems. Then we will sit down and go over the assessment with you and I will formulate a game plan to fix the problem.We will help your dog to become successful. This could include a Behavior modification plan as well as a management plan.

Have you ever used a flirt pole with your dog? Do you know what a flirt pole is?...... well it's a pole/stick with a line attached to it and at the end of that line is a toy. It is a great tool to 1. Exercise your dog 2. Work on impulse control 3. Play with your dog.
On this video my 11 year old Boerboel that has been trained to play with a flirt pole. She could play all day but I limit it to 2 minute segments so she does not overdo it. If you have any questions, leave me a message.

Those of us that hike with ours dogs should be aware of the algae levels in the lakes, streams, and ponds.
ALGAE UPDATE: The red tide algae that caused a big fish die off recently around San Francisco Bay and Lake Merritt is Heterosigma akashiwo. If an area is posted with a red tide warning or the water is murky, don't swim and do keep your dogs out of the water. Never let dogs eat dead fish; they can carry harmful bacteria and dogs can die from "salmon poisoning."

The deadly algae in some fresh water around the East Bay is toxic blue-green algae (Cyanobacteria). This is now a problem every summer. Never let your dogs drink or swim in Cyanobacteria-contaminated lakes, ponds, creeks, or rivers. This algae can cause liver failure in dogs within hours. To see where EBRPD is concerned about or has detected cyanobacteria, click here. EBRPD also issues alerts about other hazards and any parks and trails closures.
