🏅Huge Congratulations to Team Otis & Mika on accomplishing their CGCU, Urban Canine Good Citizen Titles! Otis is a Therapy Dog in Training in our advanced classes, and is attending our Therapy Dog Class starting on Sept. 24th. Congratulations to both of these dog teams for changing human lives everyday!

⭐AKC Urban CGC requires that the dog demonstrate CGC skills and beyond in a setting that includes traffic, crowds, noises, smells and other distractions that are present in a city or town. As with Canine Good Citizen, AKC Urban CGC is a 10-step test of skills that dogs must pass to earn the official AKC Urban CGC title. This is a title that appears on the dog’s title record at AKC. Therapy dogs need the Canine Good Citizen Certifications, including the Urban title.

💎Dog Shows Build Stronger, Happier Dogs💎 My Lutzhaus Clan of Pushkin, Atlas & Czarina headed to the 4 day Amana dog shows to compete in Obedience, Rally, Fast CATS & Conformation. This weekend was an immersive Summer Camp experience for my pups as we raced from one sport to another, for 4 days.

🐾What are dog shows like for a dog? It's like walking into a Vegas Casino- Sensory Overload with Unlimited Reward Access Possibility!

💎Super proud of Lutzhaus Atlas, Czarina, & Pushkin for taking the leap of faith in all the dog sports, and enduring the gauntlet; executing great runs, scores, ribbons, & titles. Although this show weekend was very successful, it was the "Experience" that made it worth 4 days of our lives.

⭐Dog shows expand a dog's world view; Build on current training, and expose a dog to real world interactions. Training has Taught my dogs to wait their turn, with good manners, while maintaining their patience, tolerance, and impulse control. These training qualities are inherently necessary for success out in the Wild. "Czarina, Thank you for checking in with me about eating the incorrigible schnauzer that was lunging and barking at you. The answer to your question is still a "No" for putting him in his place despite the fact he was invading yours.

⭐Huge Congratulations to all 9 Teams Achieving their CGC (Canine Good Citizen), CGCA (Canine Good Citizen Advanced) recently. These teams started in our puppy classes, Beginner- Advanced "Flexible" Schedule Classes, or trained with us years ago; Look at them now!

🏅All of these teams are currently working in Beginner-Advanced Obedience, building reliability Off Leash, to respond on a word command. These clients are excited for their New Endeavors including: Therapy Dogs, Service Dogs, & Competition Obedience & Rally Teams. I look forward to watching all of these dog/handler teams blossom in their future endeavors.

⭐Important Note⭐ Before coming to training classes with us there are teams that heavily struggled with reactivity to dogs, humans, & food, as well as resource guarding of high value items, including their owners. I am incredibly proud of all the teams in this photo- they have come a very long way and worked very hard to achieve these titles, but more importantly attain trustworthy reliability!

🌞Congratulations to Team Bear with their recent wins at the Iowa State Fair Dog Show! This fantastic team competed in 4 classes, and took home Fair ribbons in Rally and Obedience, including an INCREDIBLE score of 199 1/2 out of 200, 🏅1st Place, in Beginner Novice Obedience!🌞

🌞Exhibiting, on dirt, in horse/cattle barns with mass distraction is extremely difficult, & this team was showing "On & Off Leash"!!! This is an amazing show for tolerance in high level distractions, chaos, and temperature. WTG team for navigating these elements so successfully, this would be an impossible feat for most dogs.

🌞I am so glad your family was able to make wonderful memories with you at the state fair dog show, it was an annual pilgrimage in my household too. Come out to see this amazing team work at the Des Moines Dog Shows coming up in September.

🔷Customer Spotlight🔷 Brooklyn, a mini Australian Labradoodle, came to us 6 months ago in our Beginner-Advanced Flexible Schedule Classes. Brooklyn was a 6 month old "Busy Bee" with Zero Impulse Control on arrival. With hard work this team has accomplished off leash obedience, reliable through 💥ANY distraction💥, on a word command. 👉Here is what her owner had to say about his experience with us:

👉"We recently got a mini Australian Labradoodle puppy, and I initially thought I could train her myself with a few books and YouTube videos. That plan backfired pretty quickly. Our puppy became so excitable that she would jump all over guests, lick them constantly, chew on their hands, and just generally overwhelm anyone who came into our home. She even singled out our oldest daughter—barking at her and stealing her things. We weren’t making any progress, and I knew we needed help.👈

💙Congratulations to Renee and Lincoln on their achievements at the recent dog shows. 💙This dynamic duo accomplished their BN, 🏅Beginner Novice Title🏅, and were in the ribbons for ALL 3 legs of the title. This exuberant team had Incredible Scores;⚡️WINNING two 1st Place Ribbons, and a 4th place ribbon in 3 Consecutive shows, in 3 Days!

💙Team Lincoln Sweetwater came to us 6 months ago and are training in our Beginner-Advanced "Flexible" Schedule classes. They excelled through the beginner classes and are now working off leash in our Advanced classes. Renee and Lincoln are an incredibly fun team to watch, and have accomplished a swath of titles in Agility and will be competing in rally soon. I am looking forward to this teams future in all dog competitions; Lincoln can do it ALL! Look for them at the Des Moines Dog Shows in September.

🏅Congratulations Savannah & Phineas on their UKC "Top Junior" National Rankings! 🏅 With a limited showing, in only 3 shows, this magical team ranked 14th in Obedience, and 29th in Rally for 2024.

⭐This team started with All Breed Dog Obedience Training last year, and have excelled exponentially in obedience and rally. Savannah truly knows how to handle and guide Phineas to be the Best he can be. We are really excited to coach them in the upcoming Des Moines Shows in Rally and Obedience.
