Flags are at half-staff and a small memorial is set up in front of the Alton Police Department for K-9 Odin, who died in the line of duty Thursday.

I’m sure many of you have seen already but we were awarded the Appearance Award from the city of Wood River for our beautiful landscaping!! A huge shout out to Michele and Jen who worked on days off getting the weeds pulled out and the ground ready and everything planted and mulched!! Also thank you to Sarah Laufersweiler, a local horticulturist, who helped us choose native, pollinator friendly, pet safe plants!

Rosewood Pet Hospital will be closed from Sunday 12/24 through Monday 1/1. We will reopen for normal hours Tuesday 1/2. If you will be needing any med refills or food for your pet please make a plan to get in this week to get those filled. Merry Christmas!!

Mr. Mortenson has an important question for you. Do you have any newspapers we could have? We use them to line the bottom of our kennels and we are almost completely out. So, if you get the paper, we’d appreciate you bringing them by the office when you’ve read them instead of recycling them. Mr. Mortenson (and all of us) would truly appreciate it!!
