These four girls are hopeful and waiting to meet you! Their mom, a pregnant stray, was found wandering the woods behind a kind family’s farm. She gave birth to 12 precious puppies on 9/8/24. The family took them in and adopted the mom, and their daughter adopted one of the puppies. While eight of the pups found homes in Tennessee, they reached out to us for help finding forever homes for the remaining four. These lanky-legged gals are as sweet as they come. They are playful, curious puppies who also love cuddle time and pets. The daughter who adopted their sibling says she is incredibly smart, and we see the same wonderful traits shining through in Casey, Rowdy, Dottie, and Heidi. At just over three months old, they are on the larger side, with their mom weighing about 60 lbs. They would be wonderful companions for homes with kids and other dogs. While they haven’t been cat tested, we’d be happy to arrange that for potential adopters with feline friends. With their gentle, submissive natures, these girls are sure to be loving and loyal additions to any family. We received a chilling message from one of our foster heroes in Tennessee: a chemical fire had broken out less than a mile from her home. In that moment, her worst fear became reality. With over 30 rescue dogs in her care and only a Suburban for transport, she was terrified she couldn’t evacuate them all to safety in time. When she contacted 911, she was told that animals were not a priority for emergency services—a heartbreaking reminder of the challenges our fosters face. Thankfully, the fire was contained, but investigators suspect it was caused by arson, and there’s a risk the perpetrators could strike again. This near-tragedy underscores the urgent need for proper resources to protect the lives in her care. Our fosters are the backbone of our rescue, tirelessly transporting dogs locally and helping them on their journeys to forever homes.
