1 year old already, time fly by so fast.
It’s time to go back to our own den...
Quick! Quick! Open that door!
Bribery starts from young 😬😬😬.
Looks like little Munchkin is settling well 😊. So lucky of him to have a troop of “security guards” guarding him 😬. Started eating and clearing his food on day 1 at his new home.
Thanks Gennie Lau for the updates.
*No animals was harmed in this video. Owner has been pre adviced on the well being of the Munchkin, she is also aware and has acknowledged that the chinchilla has to be left to settle down in cage for a week to 2 upon his arrival at his new home way before he was brought home.
Good balancing skill 👍🏻. We are getting closer.
Is so cute that we just have to share. Look at how this baby (she is actually 15 years old) “demanding” for treats with her hands!

Saffron enjoying her shredded wheat... nom nom nom 😘
Somethings are worth turning back for.
Do NOT touch MY friend 😤!
Musashi realised that without guarding his hay, he gets more fresh hay if he finishes it. He is able to feed on his own now. He even finish his pellets! We stopped syringe feeding on him. Way to go boy boy 💪🏻💪🏻
Musashi is alot more happier and curious today as of the last 40hrs. He is also more assured that it is "safe" to leave his hay alone for a short while although he will still stand guard his hay if we attempt to touch it. He isn't feeding much on his own yet (currently still relying on syringe feeding).
Many have asked us regarding his age. There isn't a way to determine a chinchilla age. Those large patches of black "ink" (commonly known as freckles) on the ears, we do see it on chinchilla as young as 9 mths. As for movement, we own chinchillas that are so lazy to move at young age as well as hyperactive chinchillas at 15 yrs old. Our guess is that Musashi is between 8-10 yrs old or maybe older judging from the mild cataract on his right eye and certain behaviors such as falling asleep while chewing food in his mouth and the use of his hind legs. We could be wrong. Age shouldn't be a factor as long as he lives his remaining years happy and loved. We are sure many will agree with us on this 😉.
We stopped breeding 12 years ago. We decided to breed again last year. Our first baby after 12 years.
If every of our chinchillas is as easy and obedient as Mr Cody. We will not get bites all over our fingers 😂.
Warning: Never try constructing a hay rack with apple sticks 😂. Totally unusable after 11 days 😂.
