Give it to me! Give it to me!

We have been doing chinchilla rescue for more than a decade. Most of the time we have to look for fosterer but this round we offer our hands to help in fostering.
Since we are more familiar with handling chinchillas, we took back 2 most critical ones out of the 5 which VFA have rescued from a horrible owner who neglected them badly.
When we picked up the one that was always lying down, we realised the chinchilla doesn’t have leg muscle on the right side and hind leg was looking really weird which seems to be broken and hanging loosely. The right inner ear had discharge too which strike us to take her in as likely she would need intensive help.
Upon reaching back to our den, the 1st thing that came in mind was to feed some critical care. Bad feelings strike when she refused to chew and swallow the critical care from force feeding, we checked with her rescuer if she ate anything while with them as her stomach seems rather empty. It also came to our attention she hasn’t poop and peed since 3pm, thus we came to an agreement with her rescuer to have her sent to the vet for check.
The vet felt some crackling when checking the leg and also felt lots of poo stuck inside the intestines. The initial diagnosis was a crushed hip that could be pressing on the poo and pee passage. So the vet suggest an xray. The xray result was shocking, one side of the pelvic bone has broken into 2 and has overlapped which obstructed the poo passage blocking poo from passing through. Surgery could not be done as the pin to hold the bone in place may affect the organs so that means there is no cure! The vet suspected that the breakage has been a few days judging from the amount of poo stuck and the impact must be tremendous (either a bad fall from high place or something heavy hit onto the chinchilla) to cause such destructive damage.
Her surviving rate is very very low. The pain she is going through has made her lose her appetite totally. We are looking for miracle to happen 🙏🏻
1 year old already, time fly by so fast.
