Hello and welcome to Take The Lead Pet Services.
About me I am a 25 year old female who was born around animals ... in fact when I was younger I actually thought I was born a baby sheep ... thats a story for another day! My parents and grandparents all had dogs cats and so I grew up around them and have been around them since. I have two of my own horses and have been riding from the age of 5 years old, I also worked at a stables for several years as a teenager as such I have had dealings with sheep, chickens and donkeys too. I have also owned parrots, fish, hamsters and rabbits and have handled snakes, iguana, beared dragons and a coatimundi so will turn my hand to any animal. I am a reliable trustworthy individual having completed a degree in Criminology and Forensic Science which led to me working in a prison and eventually becoming a Police Officer which I have done for 3 years. I have always had a passion for animals and have contemplated setting up my own pet service buisness for a long time and so I have decided to go for it! I own my own home which I share with my fish and two fur babies of my own - Kovu the cat and Rookie the dog ... I think they are a full time job in themselves!
About the van The Van is a short wheel based VW Caddy van, it has some great features which will help keep your fur babies safe! First of all it benefits from “slam locks” on all of the doors, this is a special locking mechanism which means as soon as the door is shut it automatically locks. It also means that the van has an extra locking system - in effect to break in it would be “easier” to pull to door of its hinges! Next of all it has a tailgate which means there is no risk of any doors slamming into your fur babies whilst they are getting towled dry or in and out of the van. Finally the cages have been specially designed and made for my van this means they have numerous benefits. The cages have been designed so that both the cages themselves and the bases alone can be slid out of the van which means that it can be cleaned frequently and after any little accidents should they occur, this means you can rest assured that your fur babies are being transported in a clean environment
About the business The buisness boasts public liability insurance and the van itself will be MOT’d and serviced every year, is taxed and insured. I have held a driving license for 9 years and also hold and advanced driving qualification which was required for driving Police Vehicles. My own pets are all also insured should they have any contact with your own pets. I have designed a contract which we will go through when I come for a home visit to see you and your pet.
