It’s the reason why I decided to start this business birthday today!

You’re such a special wee boy who loves nothing more than all the friendshipships he’s created through me doing my dog walking / house sitting! So for the sits where he’s allowed to come along thank you, he misses all his friends and can’t wait to make more.

On a more positive note! Oakley and I are moving into a new place, and the exciting positive is we’ll be able to have dogs come stay with us at our place. and we couldn’t be anymore excited!

I’ve been very quiet on this aspect, been thriving up in Auckland for the past few months.

Our amazing friend Sarah who we actually met through this page I created has just rebooted her small business and has taken over Prime Pups! Journey Dog Training

Sarah is an amazing dog trainer who strives in everything she does, we couldn’t recommend her to anyone more! She’s a woman of many talents that’s for sure.

Hey Team!

This might be a long one..

September last year I unfortunately & unexpectedly lost my job that I absolutely loved and adored, finding a job in the animal industry here in Tauranga is ever so limited with so little opportunities, so I was more than grateful I got to enjoy 3 years working in the animal industry with 2 opportunities of working within 2 different doggy daycares! I obviously since a young age have loved animals, dogs in particular and I knew it was also the field of work I wanted to go down, and when I was left without a job I knew the chances were slim of finding another job like it!

So I settled for the possibility of a boring retail job that I wouldn’t enjoyed, but it would be enough to feed myself & my dog and enough to pay the bills and that’s all that mattered in the instant moment, everyone would tell me oh job searching is so easy you could apply at the supermarket and they would accept you, well in my case that wasn’t true. in the span of September- January I had what about 3 job interviews, and a million “your application won’t be pursued any further” I even dropped my cv into kmart, supermarkets, I heard nothing back.

It wasn’t until October, I had got a message about a listing I had on K9 Hub about some dog walking, that a light bulb flicked into my head and that’s when this idea came about. I’d always had a huge love for pet sitting, doing it as a side hustle while working in doggy daycares and doing the odd requests i’d see on facebook, it was something both Oakley and I loved doing! aswell as dog walking, it gave Oakley some forever friendships and it was so rewarding seeing the dog’s personalities grow.

Over the months, i’ve been so blessed to have made some wonderful relationships & memories with clients and there amazing beautiful animals! Oakley & I will cherish all the memories and bonds we’ve created forever!

But the opportunity has come about and Oakley and I will be off to our next adventure in Auckland in the coming weeks! This isn’t the end of this business, it’s just gonna be having a new postcode! and i’ll always be a text message away if anyone needs any sitting! I’ll be back often enough.

The long weekend had me reunited with one of my favourite daycare dogs that I used to look after at my old job!

Benson Boy🐾 The most cuddlest, clingiest boy you’ll ever meet! who wanted nothing more than to be snuggled up next to you!

We had the best time enjoying snuggles on the couch, playing fetch! zooming around the yard & he had the most fun hanging with my boy Oakley! Two of the most neutral boys who were just happy sticking to themselves but also enjoyed some zoomies & fetch from time to time!

We also have a wee visitor come hang out for a few hours while her parents were visiting one love! Nala the 4 month old lab x who won the boys hearts over almost instantly!

Hey Everyone,

My apologies for the lack of posts / communication on my end. It’s unprofessional and it’s not the look I would like for my business. I strive myself on going above and beyond but these last few weeks have been rough, mentally and physically. The emotions of finally finding a house after months, believing i’d become homeless with my dog not having a car makes it that 10 times worse.

Anyways today was the day we finally moved completely into our new house! I’m at a pet sit (gotta stay committed to my amazing clients) but I popped away for a little bit to help out! and ahh I’m so excited for the next chapter. Have so much unpacking to do, moving after 11 years is hard yards and you collect things you didn’t know you have!

To everyone who’s been waiting for a reply, thank you. for the few clients I had attended to this week thank you for being patient with me during this time. I’ll be back into the swing of things next week and i’m so excited to meet up with a few new clients🐾

Hey Everyone,

Been a tad quiet on this end of things, the holidays turned into an unexpected upset on my end so a few cancellations were made and with a break in dog walks i’ve had some time with family over the holidays!

As some of my clients might have known, we’ve been searching for a place for my family & I to relocate to since September last year! and with the rental crisis as it is you can imagine just how hard it is, but adding a dog into the mix is next to impossible! and i’ll never understand why, dogs are so over looked over cats. or even just in general, most of the time they’re more well behaved and even with references you still have no luck. With this i’ve eased back on taking bookings, especially since our move out date got pushed forward and it was looking like we’d be on the streets.

But i’m here to say their is some angels in this world and that they honestly had a plan for us, we have found an amazing pet friendly rental to call our own and i’m beyond excited!

My focus turns to starting this love of mine back up and connecting with like minded humans who have a love for animals🐾

I’m excited to start taking more bookings and to finally get my foot into gear about giving my page a refresher and posting more content for everyone!

I have a ton of messages & admin i’m gonna be getting through over the next few days when I get some down time in between sits! and i’ll be getting posting up 2024 calander as my bookings are pretty quiet due to my plans being put on hold and actually really having no interest!

The weekend had me looking after the cutest, yet most unexpected duo!

GSP (Dobby) & Border Terrier (Chewy)

These two are the coolest duo ever and I loved spending my weekend with them! And Oakley (My Border Collie) got to come stay for a night and boy oh boy did him and the boys get along like a house on fire!

The zoomies never stopped, neither did the unlimited games of fetch 😅 Oakley likes to drop it at a distance where Dobby will drop it in your hand, so they used a tag team effect with Chewy as their supervisor!

It was an absolute pleasure looking after these 2, and hopefully we’ll see them in a few months!

In my free time you’ll often find me hanging out trackside! Mostly over the ditch at Rotorua Stockcar Club Inc. but also around the North Island!

My love for speedway started at a very young age.. often found in the food caravan serving the famous hot dogs & chips. But now you’ll find me crewing for Kiwick Motorsport or 81r 🤍 It takes up alot of my weekends, but weekends i’ve decided to offer my services doing something else I have a huge love and passion for pet sitting & dog walking!
