HOOMIN BABY UPDATE: Dadz just wants to give a shout out to The DreamCats. (We’ll post a picture when hoomin meowmy is ready) BUT we just wanted to acknowledge these fur babies.

Hoomin Mama Sarah absolutely was amazing these past few days and we welcomed Emersen Ila MacQueen Hill into the world on 9/18! 🥰❤️🙏

As cat mom and dadz we were inundated with so much information, tips, speculation, warnings, and advice on bringing a hoomin baby into our world occupied by 3 fur babies. At times we were terrified, scared at some of the warnings we were given - or even the suggestion that we would have less room in our hearts for these kitties. Not only that - but that the arrival of another hoomin would make them feel cast aside or loved less. We read a great book Tell Your Cat You’re Pregnant (by Dr. Lewis Kirkham) which was insanely helpful - and the cats really enjoyed all the new “cat” beds piling up around the house! 😹 We felt prepared, but obviously with animals you never can truly know how it may go…

I’m so happy to report (early days of course) - that first meeting yesterday was amazing! 😻 It will come as NO surprise that Tip was instantly attracted and has been watchful over baby since we walked in the door! (When she’s not being showered with treats for being so sweet). Bo**ie who is usually afraid of new things smelled baby and is watching from afar but curious and so gentle. Thor is still loving all the baby beds and we are happy that since he is the most fearful and sometimes unpredictable, he was napping sweetly next to all three of us this morning.

I know it’s a long road - but I just wanted to say how happy we are. For all of those parents to be - don’t be afraid. Obviously every cat is different and you no matter what have to be attentive and monitor interactions - but we were so pleasantly surprised!

Although - all of you that know Super Mama Tip should not be surprised at ALL!!!

Adorable pics of Tip and baby incoming soon I am sure as we get settled. Tip will continue to monitor and make sure the Hoomins aren’t messing up the child rearing! 😹😻❤️🥹❤️🐾🙏
