Whoever said dog breeding is easy and why do your puppies cost so much?...doesn't have a clue..
There is more to just letting 2 dogs go at it I assure you unless you want to be considered a back yard breeder or puppy mill
In my 30 plus years of owning Rottweilers and breeding, I strive for the best quality puppies. I have traveled to different states just to find the perfect male or female. I do not do this for the money and if you think it's a quick get rich, find a new hobby. From the time of conception, as a breeder has to be prepared for a c section if needed.. thats $1800-$4500( I have paid both)
If she can't feed, be ready to nurse puppies every 2 hours and stimulate bottoms to p**p for 4-6 weeks.
Right after birth, no sleep for about a week because she might lay on a pup and you count continuously and wake up to their noises.. then comes the cost of tails and due claws ($275-$400);depending on size, (I have paid both)
Then hope she doesn't get mastitis or bit and thats another vet bill ($300) Registration fees for litter, 1st shots at 6 weeks and wormed. By week 4/5, there never seems to be enough newspaper ever. Yes they are cute, but its work. Soft puppy food.. never seems to be enough for a big litter either.. so if u add all that up and the time and the amount of heart that goes into having the best rottweilers... there is no dollar amount.. I absolutely love these dogs..
