We’ve been a little quiet going into the new year, but we’ve jumped right in with a couple of customs along with our usual regulars. 2023 was a blessed year, and we are excited for 2024!

We’ve had to sit on our hands until it was delivered, but it was so special creating this memorial piece to surprise a dear friend with. The stunning paint gelding was the epitome of an all around horse, regularly winning the pleasure classes and the speed events at the same show. He was 16 hands of pure gentleman that anyone could ride. The tail hair belonged to a very special Welch x Arabian owned by the same friend. He was the first horse I ever showed, and he taught countless kids how to ride and was in service until he was 32. I’ve had the lock of his hair in a keepsake box for over 20 years.

We will be keeping the shop open with ready-to-ship items, including our amazing headstalls and some pre-made bits! We have a full selection of cheeks and mouthpieces on made-to-order bits, and all open orders will be shipped before Christmas!

We don’t have a lot of snow, but it was sure enough nice to have my favorite snaffle to reach for and not have to worry about a cold bit. Grateful my little riding buddy wanted to ride her horse with me even in the cold.

Wondering what the difference is between our new Blue Mottled rope mouthpiece and our original Gray Mottled? The BM is slightly smaller 12mm diameter and a tick stiffer, but is made from the same premium material. They work great as gifts!

We are excited to announce the drop of our two new rope mouthpieces! They are the slightly smaller ~1/2” diameter version of our original gray mottled and 12 plait rope mouths. We will be doing the Blue mottled mouth exclusively in the smaller 1/2” diameter.
