What’s on your dresser or bedroom counter. Show a pic. Mine is messy. Dog collars and watches. Then I stuff random things like laptops and socks in the cubbies. Kinda messy, but I live alone with Misha - The East Bay Dog.

Long night. Yesterday was Day 1 of No Pain Meds in so many months. I’m so happy about that. Night 1, last Friday when I did my last post, was incredible. The hospital got me a taxi to Lake Merritt where I live and my best friend and doggie (Misha) where home to greet me. What a warm, beautiful night filled with bougie pizza 🍕 and laughs. Day 1, Saturday, I spent 11 hours on my feet checking in on my business, friends and playing catch up. I did a little too much. This morning, Day 5 from coming home, Day 26 post procedure #1, I am nearly pain free with no meds and no tubes hanging out of my body. I have a renewed love for the world and all the beautiful people here with me. 💗

Getting ready to walk out of the hospital today finally completely repaired and ready to heal. Fresh scars to start a very fresh new chapter of my life. It feels like I was just released into the world again. I haven’t shared this story here because it’s been so hard and painful, not something I like to share. I have e refreshed view of the wonderful, caring humans in my life who have helped me through this. I am laying here smiling as I write this. I am so ready to move forward. One more time… let’s go!

One year ago at this moment, my human brought me up on the bed with him because I asked him to. We cuddled for an hour. I gave him a doggie kiss and went to my side of the bed. That’s when I left. I watch over and am with you every day James Lizotte. I’ll see you at the creek in a little bit.
