To all my friends.... just a reminder to slow down when you eat!!

A few weeks ago, I was eating my dinner in the kitchen while my family watched some TV. It was yum, so I ate fast... unfortunately too fast! Food got stuck and I started to choke... because choking is silent, no one knew.

I went into the lounge and just made it before I passed out where I started convulsing and foaming at the mouth.

Luckily, mum is a Hralth Care worker and started Basic Life Support almost immediately and managed to clear my airway... but it was close! Mum tells me I was limp and compleately out. They were scared... not like you can call an ambulance.

Luckily, I'm all good now, but I'm never left alone to eat anymore.

HUMANS...... let this be a warning... I have had dogs in my home for most of my life and this has never happened before. For our small statured friends, their airway is SMALL... Toby was eating standard good quality dog food that night, and we almost lost him. It takes just a few minutes to watch our furry friends, even if they have a Slow Eat bowl. Please watch the.!!

Sorry if this post has caused trauma to anyone, however, it's a really important message regarding our best friends.
