STORM EUNICE
Scent will be blowing in every which direction today. Some dogs may feel confused and overwhelmed as they will be finding it harder to process information.
Objects blowing around, creating noise and sudden movement may startle dogs and create a fight or flight response.
There's more electricity in the air during a storm. This may cause a static build-up in your dog’s fur, producing static shock causing discomfort.
HOW CAN I HELP MY DOG?
Skip the walk for today instead, provide enrichment activities to tire out your dog and eliminate boredom.
Try to block out the noise by putting the TV or calm music on. Try to also block out the movement from outside by closing curtains and blinds.
Supervise garden toilet breaks and keep checking your garden as fences can be easily blown down.
It's only for 24 hours when it can take a dog up to 72 hours to decompress from an event that caused fear.
Stay safe
