School has started, Fall is just about here. Please check to make sure your dogs are secured as traffic increases for children as well as elk beginning the rut. Loose dog are frequently an issue here in the mountains, and it puts dogs, kids and wildlife at risk. Be safe!

The summer heat is upon us! While it is important to frequently offer water to your dog if you are outside walking, hiking or just enjoying the patio, consider using a spray bottle to mist off you dog and cool her tummy, face and paws. Proof of education, seminars and more is reviewed by a panel of behaviorists, veterinary behaviors and more to assure that my clients are receiving quality training and experience. We are relieved everyone is fine. And another example of dogs doing what they were bred to do. Dalmatians were bred to protect horses and carriages from attack from animals, etc. Well done pups!

Two Dalmatians had their instincts kick in when they and their dog walker were surrounded by coyotes Wednesday in Boston.
