I’ve recently started exploring Tellington TTouch® with my horses, and it already feels like a new way of listening to them. The gentle circular touches help me notice where they hold tension or old patterns, and I can feel their bodies soften as they begin to trust the process. Instead of reacting from habit, they start to think, releasing tightness and finding a calmer, more balanced posture.
On the ground, l’ve been exploring simple Touch exercises that help my horses gain confidence and body awareness without pressure. Using soft touches I invite them to feel their bodies differently and discover new choices. I’m already seeing them move with more ease and respond with a willingness that comes from feeling safe, not controlled. What I love most is how respectful and intuitive this method is. it honors their mind, body, and spirit.❤️

The Santa Cruz horse community is facing real challenges. With stables closing and land costs rising, it’s becoming harder to keep our horses close to home.

Kira, Emett and I have been having these play dates with the herd. We’re exploring how to move from our centers, how to soften, how to listen with our whole bodies. Chulita, Valiente, Gala, and Benito are right there with us. They are curious, tuned in, offering their own feedback just by being themselves.
We are all the teachers here and we are all the students. We’re all learning from each other.
We show up, we play, we listen to one another and that’s when the magic happens!
