Hello, Davis community!

This week marks the anniversary of Pawsitive Groomers opening 12 years ago in 2011. Three years ago, we had to close due to the pandemic, but this year, we have happy news to bring you. We are really thrilled to announce that Pawsitive Pet Parlor will be opening this month and we are now booking appointments on our website.

Pawsitive Pet Parlor will provide the same care and professional, experienced grooming that you were familiar with at Pawsitive Groomers, in a new, spa-like environment designed and created to provide the ultimate pampering for your dogs and cats. We have missed the pets of Davis and their people tremendously, and we can't wait to see you again!

Hello to all. I hope this time finds you as safe, healthy, and well as possible.

Yolo County has given the OK for pet groomers to open back up and since, we have received many messages from those looking to get an appointment. We are so grateful for your continued loyalty and we wish it were time to open back up and see you all! However, I do have to inform everyone that Pawsitive Groomers did leave our location in the Ace Rock Yard. Our small business was unable to keep up with the cost of rent, utilities, insurance, telephone and internet service, etc...,with the loss of so many weeks worth of income.

Right now I have no solid or immediate plans for reopening. With young children at home, school being out for the foreseeable future, and the pandemic unfortunately not being over, I will not be seeking out a new location or trying to reopen in the near future while our situation is still so volatile. I will miss my pet friends so much, and if this situation changes and I am able to find a new location, or start to operate in a new way (along the lines of home or mobile grooming) I will absolutely let everyone know! I hope everyone is as well as can be. If you have questions about your pet's grooming needs or grooming in general, please feel free to message us here.

With this recommendation, we have made the decision to temporarily close our doors to contain the spread of this virus. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes but feel it is necessary to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any grooming related questions during this time we are still happy to answer them for you, but the easiest way to contact us right now will be to message us here on our page. We will be following city and state recommendations, so at this point, we cannot definitively say when we will be able to see your pets again, but we hope it will be very soon. We will miss seeing all of our beloved pet friends and will let you know as soon as we are back.

The City of Davis is “urging” residents to shelter in place due to the coronavirus outbreak, in line with Gov. Gavin Newsom’s directive Monday that all gatherings of any size should cease statewide to slow the pandemic’s spread.
