The Olde English Bulldogge was developed in the early 1970's by David Leavitt, of Coatesville, PA. Leavitt used a line breeding scheme that was designed and developed by Ohio State University for breeding cattle. The goal was to recreate a specific breed of Bulldogge with the look, health and athleticism of the original bull baiting dogs, but without the extreme tenacity. The foundation crosses co

nsisted of ½ English Bulldog, and the other half Bullmastiff, American Pit Bull Terrier, and American Bulldog. After many carefully planned crosses, the Olde English Bulldogge emerged and began to breed true. Olde English Bulldogges, Olde Bulldogges, Bulldogges are not blue, gray or merle. They also don't have Cut Tails, Kink Tails and "SCREWED" TAILS . If you didn't put this cross in it you don't have real Olde English Bulldogges, Olde Bulldogges, Bulldogges did line breeding and little inbreeding to make it come out pure breed you don't have them. Stop think Leavitt Bulldogges Cross back to a English Bulldogs or Male English Bulldogs with Female American Bulldogs Make you have the right to call them Olde English Bulldogge you really don't have. Stop Tagging paper work with IOEBA, OBBA, WBA, NBA, OBS, these people don't have the original set standard and that is fact.
