We said goodbye to Sage a week ago today. His passing was very peaceful, with Mum and Dad there to stroke him and tell him how loved he was. Mum is certain that her cat-loving friend Hilary was there to collect him when he crossed over and will take care of him for us.

I mentioned foster kittens in my last post. When we found out about Sage, Dad declared that he couldn't take **two** cats from Little Sister, so we'd keep the remaining kitten. I'd like to introduce you to them now with a photo. Meet Ahsoka and Anakin. Ahsoka is in the front with the little red bell. Little Sister named the three kittens after her favorite Star Wars characters, and Obi-Wan is now with his new mum. Please welcome my new little friends!

It's been quiet around here but that's because Mum has been getting Little Sister ready for school in August, writing/releasing new books (one comes put next week), and also we've had these three foster kittens! They came to us at 2 weeks old and Mum has been bottle feeding and caring for them. Little Sister named them Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka. Ahsoka was pretty sick when she came, but Mum brought her back. Unfortunately it meant Mum couldn't adopt her out because she's too attached to Mum and she cries if someone else holds her. She's the one in the pink collar. So, suddenly we'd have 4 cats.

Now for the sad news. Those of you who have followed me for a while know about Sage, one of the resident cats when I arrived. Mum found out yesterday that he has lung cancer and he won't be with us much longer. We are all devastated, especially Little Sister, because he's been her buddy since the day she came home from the hospital. He's only 7 and everyone thinks it's terribly unfair. To try and ease Little Sister's broken heart, Dad has decided to let her keep Anakin -- he's the one held up in the air -- so she has a kitty buddy. I'll miss Sage a lot, we like to play together. ☹️

PS - Don't fret for Obi-Wan, he's had a new mommy waiting for him for a couple of weeks!
