Well today would have to be my proudest moment as a bowhunter. I bought a 1974 Browning Cobra earlier this year and dedicated all summer to just that. 50lb bow, 100 grain inserts, and a 150 grain broadhead gave me a complete pass through at 21 yards. Deer ran less than 30 yards.

Rio Grande mounted up for my Dad for his birthday. We killed these birds in Kansas on a great trip in 2018. A world of difference from mounting up the smaller birds around here.

Unless we have spoken about a mount, my books are closed. The new 24 cubic foot freezer I just bought before Christmas is already full. Seven full freezers is enough for me. Thank you for all of the support but the demand is too high. New website coming out to fix all of that.

Just got back from picking up a big order from my supplier in North Carolina. Decided to go to the NCTA Show as I haven’t competed in over 2 years. I won First Place and Judges Choice Best Waterfowl. Thank you to Jim Allred for my supplies and the NCTA for a great show!

Back in the shop today. Uruguay was an absolutely amazing trip. If you ever had thoughts of going, it is truly the trip of a lifetime. We killed 5078 birds in 4-1/2 days of which I shot 1003.

Deer photo dump! Got all the deer wrapped up and I have been mounting nothing but birds the last few weeks. 20/21 birds are rolling through the shop as quickly as possible.

Life size piebald buck that recently went home. I mounted the melanistic pheasant years ago for a show and it fit just right under the barb wire fence. Lots of hours and custom alterations to this piece but I had fun with it.

I did not compete this year at the Florida Show due to working insane hours playing catch-up, but my son did. He wanted to mount something for the show so he settled on a Canebrake. I made the base and he did everything else by himself. He took home 1st Place, the Second 2 Nature Award for highest score and we won Collective Artists for highest score. Couldn’t be more proud of my son!

Deer Seminar I put on this last weekend at the Florida State Taxidermists Convention. I shot this buck opening day of the Florida archery season in 2016. Just when you think a year turnaround time is rough, it takes six for mine LOL.
