I’ve had some interesting conversations with people online in the last few days, full of lots of misinformation about service animals. As a result, I’d like to review a few service animal facts for the USA.

- To have a service animal, you MUST be disabled.
- You do not need a Dr note, prescription, etc. to have a service animal in public.
- Only dogs and mini horses are recognized as service animals by the ADA.
- To be a service animal, your dog/mini horse must know at least one task that mitigates your disability.
- Service animals do not have to be professionally trained, the disabled individual is allowed to train their own animal.
- There is no legally recognized certification/registration/ID for service animals.

Winston went to Lowes for the first time today. He is 3 month old and did a great job for a little fellow.

Got lots of loving from customers when given the ok. He didn't startle to the forklift or a customer In a wheelchair screaming! So glad they came in great learning experience for him

I have seen it posted over and over again and felt its time to share some important information and education.

If you don't have a permanent and stable living situation don't get a pet, or be prepared to pay extra and search out pet friendly living options.

Do NOT lie, fake, and pay into a scam to get your way.

An Emotional support animal is a glorified pet that someone you see for mental health has said you would benefit from. It's not a letter you found in a Google search, it's not a letter and badge you paid $150 for online. It's from an actual person you see on a regular basis. Someone willing to sit in front of a court and testify their medical background, education and are qualified to say this is a need you require.

Your pet counts in you to do the right thing. If you aren't willing to pay a pet deposit, or find a place, even if outside your convenience area...then don't have a pet.

Service animals require even more and are much more in depth. FAKING a disability or a service animal is illegal and punishable by law. If social security disability and a team of doctors aren't going to say your dog is medically required you are making a huge mistake and this mistake makes life very difficult for people that count on their dog to get through daily life and activities.

It is so upsetting to see people telling other to just fill out for this to keep your dog or sign up here. It's a scam, and no one likes to be scammed. Not people who are paying to do this, not the landlords you are scamming to live where you want, not businesses where you go and not real sd owners that suffer for your poor choices.

Last Tuesday little Winston joined our family thanks to a local person making such a generous donation to Javin.

I don't know if I should start him his own page, make his posts here or on my personal page. I'd love your opinion.

On July 9, 2022 Hemi lost her battle to kidney failure. Today we brought her back home, just not the way we wanted.

Our journey is now starting over, square one. Lost, helpless and broken. Javin is struggling, he is broken and lost.

Keep him in your prayers as we deal with this and may he help direct and guide the situation
