Journey Home Rescue is a non profit muIti-state rescue, founded by rescuers with over 80 years combined in rescue experience, headquartered in Washington, with rescue members in ldaho and Oregon. It is the mission of Journey Home Rescue to address, educate, rescue, provide aid and relief to eradicate neglected, abused, and unwanted dogs at risk of euthanasia and homelessness. We do this through se

rvices such as vetting, medical care, supplies, house visits, transportation, boarding and providing nurturing foster homes where these animals can heal (both emotionally and physically) until a permanent home is found through our adoption screening process. It is our mission to provide and promote the importance of proper care, consistent vaccination, spay and neutering of companion animals to decrease the growing population of companion animals. We believe ultimately this will decrease pain, suffering and cruelty.

Vino is a spunky, playful, yet shy 4 month old Maltese/ Bichion mix. He is about 5 pounds at this time. Vino came from a hoarding breeding situation. He loves playing with other dogs, cats too, people he needs work as he has not had much affection or holding to know that he will not be hurt. Vino is not house trained. Confetti came in to rescue from a hoarding situation. Yorkshire terrier x, about 12 months old.She is very shy and needs to learn to trust. She is good with other little dogs and cats. She is not yet housetrained, has never been on a leash. She so wants to be loved, she has never known love and is fearfully, will take someone with patience. Would be good with older kids over 10, respectful of little dogs. She will be spayed before adoption, update vaccines and microchipped. Had flea/tick treatment and wormed. Eddie (male)is an adorable active ball of fluff.
He tends to be the leader of his pack of siblings and loves to play hard with his foster’s big dog.
Eddie loves to explore wherever he is, especially outside. He really likes to chew on his chew toys and hides them when he can. Very treat motivated.
He is a big energetic silly puppy that only wants love, attention, food, and lots of playtime.

Terrance is happiest when playing with his rambunctious siblings or his foster’s busy dogs, big and small.
Terrance Loves to be around people and right in the middle of wherever the action is.
He thrives on attention but will also play on his own with all his toys.

How could anyone resist this little face. Sweet Stella Baby was surrender to a shelter as the other big dogs picked on her. She would love to be your lap dog, the center of your world. Stella is a Pug Chi she is about 2 years old. Stella is housetrained, ok on a leash. Perfect for those tv binge watch, snuggle up and be loved on. Louie is a 2 year old, 72 pounds, Bernadoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog/ Standard Poodle) who has a zest for life, and loves to play with anyone willing to join, small dogs, big dogs, he even does well with the kitties! He would love a furry playmate in his new home, or access to one via friends or outings. Louie also does excellent with children. He loves spending time outside and doing zoomies around the yard, and while he will play fetch, he prefers a good game of keep-a-way. Louie' also loves to cuddle with his head in your lap and will relax when it’s time to chill out. Louie is convinced he’s a lap dog. He is kennel trained, but he prefers to be by your side and part of the family and would do best in a home where he is not frequently left alone. Due to his unique coat, Louie will require someone committed to keeping up with regular grooming appointments.
He is good with kids, housetrained.
If you are looking for a smart and loyal dog that will be your companion for life, look no further than the Berne doodle. Also known as the Bernese Mountain Poo, this breed is a combination of the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle. These hybrid fluffy pooches combine the best of both worlds: the intelligence and low shedding coat of the Poodle combined with the laid-back, yet incredibly loyal nature of the Bernese. Courtesy post. Ljay and Dobbi Lab were left by their owner in December 2023 at boarding and never returned/called/nothing. These two boys, Lab/Pit cross, have been waiting every day for their person to return, and every night they go to sleep with just each other for comfort. They deserve a home, not spending their days seeing other dogs go and come with their loving families. At the end of the day/week/month, they only have each other. Both dogs will be neutered & microchipped before going to a foster or adopter. Located in Rupert, Idaho, transport available within the Pacific Northwest. Loona is a 3 year old Feist, Black Mouth Cur, Plott mix best estimate 38 pounds. To describe Loona, cuddly, playful, likes to go for walks, good with respectful kids, babies, loves peanut butter. Loona would do good in a quiet stable environment, maybe with one other dog, with someone that just wants a couch companion, maybe go for walks. She is the most gentle soul. Knows basic commands. House trained, kennel trained, know basic commands. Will be spayed, up to date on vaccines, health exam before adoption. This sweet girl is 1 1/2 year old, Labradoodle, She loves kids, ok with other dogs non dominate, has not been cat tested as yet. She is crate trained, house trained, she has a chicken allergy, salmon or beef is the best. We are still getting to know Lolita, she will be available for adoption soon.
