Why do Jack Wolf close?

We believe that this time of year is an opportunity for families, friends and loved ones to spend valuable time together. All receive full pay for the period as all in our small team are permanent employees. The team work hard in what are physically demanding roles and do their utmost to deliver a great service so it is right that we close over the period to provide much needed rest and recuperation.

It has been a thoroughly tasteful, dignified and dare we say it, British occasion. It was an absorbing experience watching the perfect choreography and people come together to send such a special person on her way. The precise work of our Grenadier Guards and members of other Forces made us proud. Elizabeth’s diplomacy, selflessness and devotion to duty was reflected in the wide range of people who gathered yesterday. Our finest ambassador, Elizabeth lead a life of service to others and she kept her promise to serve from beginning to the very end. It was rather profound and emotional to see her crown removed from her coffin and placed on the altar in St George’s with the immense degree of personal loss etched on the face of King Charles as his mummy was lowered into the vault below. A deeply historical and reflective day with the end of a life, the close of a chapter and an era at an end. The continuity and stability offered by our wonderful system which separates out symbolism and the power of monarchy above politics is essential. Not only are Republics boring but the transient leaders; presidents and prime ministers often start to think that they are Royalty, or worse, Gods. First ladies (and men) start to think they are Queens and Kings. We personally believe that our new King Charles has had the worlds finest teacher in this important function, will honour the British constitution, heritage and tradition and most importantly, honour the memory of his own beloved mother.
