We said a tearful goodbye to Macy on Thursday. She has been battling diabetes for the last couple years, that caused her to go blind. But she remained the happy, loving sweetheart that she has been since I rescued her in 2012. Unfortunately she developed a fast growing cancerous tumor about 3 weeks ago. She let us know yesterday that she was ready to go.

I know she is happy to be back together with Midnight and Bruno!

Ten years ago, yesterday, I rescued Macy Rescue Chessie from a shelter in South Carolina. She had a serious neck injury from an embedded cable. We were not sure that she would survive . . . .

Although she now has diabetes and has gone blind, 10-years later she is still enjoying life, as a Culver Dog!

Happy Rescue Day Macy (a day late)!!!
