COULD YOU OPEN YOUR HEART AND HOME TO A FOSTER DOG?

We are the busiest we have ever been in our 16 year history, and are looking for new foster carers to open their heart and home and join our incredible foster team. Our foster carers play a crucial role in preparing our dogs for their new homes, and create much needed additional capacity so we can help many more dogs. In particular we are keen to recruit foster homes that can help with the following, but would love to hear from anyone who is interested in fostering generally:

🐾 Small groups of puppies
🐾 Whelping
🐾 Dogs with health issues
🐾 Palliative care - short term up to 12 months plus for dogs with life limiting conditions

If you are considering getting someone to walk your dog please make sure they're fully insured and have experience of handling different breeds etc. Also if they're transporting your pet it needs to comply with the DVLA rules whereby a dog is safely secured behind a dog guard or in a dog crate. Unless an owner has categorically given me permission to let their pet off lead on a first outing I will never let a dog off the lead until I'm sure it's safe to do so. This may mean a couple of hours of on the lead walking but better to be safe than sorry.
