This is Bear. Bear is blind and his mom needed some help training him to walk nicely and to be be more calm at home. The first video is mom walking Bear for the first time calmly on leash. We've been working on scent games to help with enrichment and then trained him to follow the scent while walking. I'll follow up with a video of Bear playing the "find it" game.

This is a secret but...

I love your dogs. Yes, everyone of them. Yes even yours. No I’m not crazy. Yes I really do.

I moved here from California in the month of March. I could count the number of people that I knew on one hand. My job transfered me to a local retail store, which was kind of them. Not long after starting at the new store a position in obedience training opened up. I had taken a few levels of obedience class, enjoyed them very much, and was intrigued by the science behind them. I decided to see if I might be considered for the position. I had mentioned that I put in for the position to our local area trainer and she recommended to management that I get the position. Management agreed and... I got the job.

Here I am 7 years later. It seems like almost yesterday but since that day I have spent thousands of hours learning with, working with, and developing relationships with dogs and their owners in the CSRA. Every one of them has taught me something I value. Every dog has gotten a piece of my heart.

That is why I do the things I do like ordering equipment to accommodate special needs. That is why I take continuing education seriously. That is why the science of canine learning theory is important to me. I want my clients to know I love their dogs and I only want the best for them the same as if they were mine.
