Last night, this sweet boy earned his wings 🕊️.

Despite outliving every dog in history, his 11,478 days on earth would never be enough, for those who loved him. When we asked Leonel what his recipe was for Bobi’s exceptionally long life, his response was swift: “Good nutrition, constant contact with nature, freedom to discover his environment, consistent veterinary care, and love. Bobi knows he’s deeply loved.”

⚠️ The telltale sign of cheap meats in dog food is when you see terms like meat meal, poultry or animal digest ... without specifying an actual animal source. If it doesn't say beef, chicken, or salmon, etc. you have no idea what it is.

Animal digest refers to animal protein that has been "digested" using enzymes and acids, to break apart the protein. It can be make into liquid or powder and sprayed onto kibble or mixed into canned dog food.

🚨 Mystery meats contain protein, but probably not the kind you want to see in your dog's food.

The problem with using mystery meats is that there are limited regulations on the quality of meat used. It could be healthy muscle meat, but it could also be an animal by-product from a less than desirable source like 4D meats ... diseased, disabled, dying, or dead. They're cheaply sourced and manufactured with unknown origins.

A meat-rich high quality diet, whether raw, freeze-dried canned or kibble will list the animal protein on its ingredient list ... not hide behind mystery meat and animal digest.
