Precious 🩷

Our darling girl precious is searching for her forever home 🥰
She is just a timid, sweet natured girl. Everything is still so new to her but she has come on leaps! She is slowly putting weight back on and her hair has grew🥰

Precious is fantastic with other dogs and children. She is very affectionate and friendly. She is 6 months old, lurcher mix. She is still getting used to the lead but has come on so we. She also is continuing with housetraining so whomever is interested in adopting will need to continue helping her every step of the way!

She is such a little cutie! She has so much love to give and still trusts people. She is very precious indeed🩷

Can anyone offer a wonderful home for Kia?

A real sweet natured girl that loves everyone she meets! She is good with other dogs, cats and children🥰

She is an older lady unsure on her actual age due to her being left behind but we think roughly around 8 years old. Kia is so friendly and very well mannered. She loves going for her walks and is brilliant on the lead. Kia deserves to have a wonderful home, to feel loved and be apart of a family, she will make a fantastic addition to anyone’s household🥰

Is it a red and white thing, that they constantly get overlooked?

Two beautiful girls still haven’t had any viewings, no enquiries and yet we don’t know why?

Two beautiful dogs that are the most loving affectionate, friendly and older more settled. And still can’t even get a home💔

Both girls, aged 9 female, spayed and ready for their beginnings. They are house trained, fantastic mannerisms. They are good with children and other dogs. Haven’t been around cats.

Why won’t someone give these girls a chance? They do not need to be rehomed together.

They’ve spent months in rescue it’s time for them to finally get their forever home!!

Remember the mama and her newborn babies left in a field….

Well this is her now!! Just look at how loved and cared for Willow is with her new family❤️
We couldn’t ask for a better home for her, trips to the beach, hiking and snuggled up on the sofa and by the fire 🔥 the life she truly deserved🥰

An Edinburgh housing association has become the first housing provider in the UK to be accredited by Dogs Trust for its pet-friendly policies and practices.
Manor Estates owns more than 1000 properties across Edinburgh and Fife, and many of its tenants are pet owners. Over the last nine months, the housing association has worked closely with Dogs Trust to enhance its pet-friendly offer to tenants and has updated its pet policy. Whilst tenants have always had the automatic right to keep one pet within their home, there is now a focus on tenants keeping Manor Estates up to date on any changes in pet ownership so that they can provide support and advice on caring for their pet.
Staff have also attended training delivered by the Dogs Trust Canine Behaviour team, equipping them with skills and knowledge to help them interact safely with dogs while out and about in communities and homes.
Thanks to Manor Estates’ work to become more pet-friendly and increase pet-friendly housing availability, it has become the first landlord in the UK to receive the Dogs Trust accreditation. The policies introduced are expected to positively impact pet-owning tenants and those living nearby who don’t share their homes with a pet.
The charity now hopes this project will be used as a blueprint for other social landlords and has worked with Manor Estates to create a toolkit that others can use to help them become more pet-friendly, increasing the availability of pet-friendly housing across Scotland and the UK. This exciting project, made possible thanks to funds raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, is designed to improve the experience of anyone accessing housing with a pet or those wishing to add a pet to their family home.
This comes as Dogs Trust is receiving a high number of enquiries from people who are being forced to rehome their dogs. More than 15% of the people contacting Dogs Trust cited issues with housing as the reason for needing to rehome their dogs. This includes people forced to move or downsize as rental prices increase but cannot find suitable, affordable, pet-friendly properties.

Another day in rescue, another life saved.

Left behind, chained up to a makeshift kennel.. forgotten about!

Got a call to save this precious soul..

When I got there, she was starving and shivering, flakey skin 💔

She is now safe, in the warmth and will never be starved..

We have named her Precious, she is a little delicate soul. She is only 6 months old and hasn’t had a great start to her little life💔

In rescue half a year…

In that time only 2 people visited to see me…

I am 9 years old, aren’t I deserving of having a home?

Truth be told I am finding it very hard, I have been feeling very stressed this last while. I have been seeing some of my peers go off with new families and here I am ready to go and constantly overlooked.

I truly don’t understand…

I am a wonderful dog and have been told this numerous times by my carers and even they don’t understand why either…

I am house trained, I love going for my walks, I am extremely friendly. I just adore people. I am also good with other dogs that are the same size as me as we just get along better.

I wish that I could show you how great I am..

Introducing Kia

This sweet soul deserves to have a special home! her owner left her behind chained up in a commercial yard to her kennel and left to fend for herself 💔

Thank-you to the wonderful person that kept going down to her to make sure she was ok and had been feeding her until contact had been made and we got there and brought her to safety.

She is just a sweet lady, she hopped into that car as quickly as possible, she knew she was going to be safe!

No more being chained up sweet girl, you will get to experience freedom with lots of new friends and hopefully you’re forever retirement home soon❤️

Kia is an older lady and will require veterinary care, she has sore eyes, crusty nose and suspected ear infections in both ears.

How could you not want to take her home?🥹

Our Lex (Lexi) is the most funniest, mischievous, affectionate girl! Her personality is one of the many best qualities about her🩷

Lexi brightens up our days here, she has that cheeky but loving face that you just can’t say no too🥹

Lexi loves doing her own wee thing, plods along the house until she spots the sofa and forgets all about us, her heart is content when she’s finds her favourite place! she also loves to back chat so you’ll be in for some fun conversations😉

Lexi has been doing so well with the other dogs (big and small) and she can be rehomed with children. She is fully house trained and is great on the lead 🐾

Lexi is literally a perfect dog, she’s been with us since late December and we’ve never had any issues with her. We know it’s her time to show her new family all that we get to witness day in and day out - a beautiful soul 🩷
