Tonto was born on the 08/11/2016 at 4am in the morning. His Dam is Snowy a rescue cremello brumby and his sire is Territory Impact QH B/W overo stallion.

It's fine to debate topics vigorously and to have different points of view - even experts don't agree on everything - but it is NOT OK or acceptable under any circumstances to make personal denigrating comments to other members. Comments of this type will be removed by admin and the member will be removed if they continue to disrespect other members and disregard the ethos of this group.
3. It is against the rules to name and shame anyone (whether they are in this page or not) either in a post or comment in this page. This includes putting up a photo of an individual or individuals who can be recognised from the photo, even if their names aren't mentioned.
4. a) It is against the rules to put up a photo or video of a horse belonging to another person in a post or comment without the permission of the owner of the horse. If the photo or video has been made public on facebook or the internet though, and has come up in members' newsfeeds, then it is allowed.
4. b) It is also against the rules to copy someones post in this page and post it elsewhere, unless you have permission to do so by the original poster. Taking screen shots of a post from here and posting it elsewhere, without the permission of the Original Poster, is completely unpermitted. Any member found doing this will be removed from page immediately without warning. If any of the page rules are broken the member will receive a strike against their name. If the person receives three strikes they are automatically removed from the page. There will be no warning. It is the members' personal responsibility to keep the rules, not just the admins' responsibility to enforce them. If the person reaches 3 strikes then they will automatically be removed from the page. If a member sends you a pm to continue to make denigrating or rude comments after a comment of theirs has been removed by an admin, please screenshot the message and pm it to one of the admin and it will count as 1 strike against the person. Lovely day for it, even though Tonto was a lazy bum with his brother there, and had a roll mid ride 🫣😂

Can’t wait for next Friday.

First solo ride on Tonto today 🥰
Few things to work on, like a different saddle pad so I don’t roll around 😂.
But all in all he was a bloody gentleman and we had a blast!
He did have some trust issues the last 10minutes of wether it was him or I who knew the correct way to the float 😂 so I got down and lead him for 5mins then jumped back on and up the hill to the float we went.
Think we will both be sore tomorrow.
Think it ended up being a 2hr ride today.

Went and spent a little time with Tonto the other day, just bonding and getting him to touch my hand when I ask.
Tried jumping on ba****ck but clearly the springs in my legs are broken 😂.
Then had to move the ute out the paddock before the other 2 started chewing on it 😂.

Definitely need to find a block close to town for him so I can see him more often.

I am going to be riding Tonto for the foreseeable future 😁 so you will be hearing from and seeing a lot on my on this page as I post about our journey.

I went for my first cruisey ride on Tonto today on his home farm with Santie to get a feel for each other.

Very much looking forward to building a bond and going on some adventures with this beautiful boy 🥰

Did a 9km hike with Tonto yesterday. I haven't spent much time with the horses in the last 3 and a half years due to me not having any confidence getting back into the saddle after having kids and not getting time to ride. Tonto was very well behaved as usual.

Tonto groundwork without a lunging rope

Usualy I lunge and work Tonto with a lead rope/lunging rope, but today I decided to work without it. I don't have a round yard, but I'm in the process of getting everything together to build one. I worked in a square yard instead and he did really well. We did lunging with direction changes, yielding the hindquarters / forequarters and circle driving.
