I’ve been training dogs in some fashion or another for about 10 years, whether it be training my personal dogs, training rescue foster dogs, or teaching a training class. I have been an Association of Professional Dog Trainers member since 2013, I am a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, and a certified Stunt Dog Judge. I worked in boarding for two years shadowing the head trainers there, and studied

dog behavior & training at Catch Canine Trainers Academy. I keep myself apprised on the latest developments in the science of animal learning by attending educational conferences and seminars as often as possible. My dogs and I enjoy participating and/or competing in Rally-Obedience, Agility, FlyBall, and WagIt! I have titled my dog Diesel as a Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced Trick Dog, and earned Sniff It! My dog Chia also has her Sniff It! I offer Trick Dog training classes as a fun way to build upon your relationship with your dog. I'm a proud snack leader

To all my fellow , owners trainers and behaviourists. I see you.

I love being a I'm saying that it's literally the tip of the iceberg! I know what's going on underneath the water, I know what's going on in the background.

We do so much more than just toss food.

You are doing a great job keep it up.

People can and will say mean things. It can be demoralising and hard.
But don't let anyone else tell you other methods are better. This works. Science is on our side. We got you.

We had to say goodbye to our boy Diesel earlier this week 💔 If you were in one of my classes you've probably seen videos of him training. If you knew him you know he was a handful and came at life at 100mph and 200% But everyone loved our crazy little dude.

Nail Trims

Handling comes in various forms when it comes to dogs and we can make those thing dogs usually dislike into something they don't mind or even something they enjoy. With a little "husbandry" training, nail trims don't have to mean a muzzle or be traumatic(for you or the dog!). The little guy in the video was one of my foster dogs who was generally a worrier. Not about nail trims though!
