Microgreens are young vegetable greens cut above the root and eaten whole when they are anywhere from 7 to 14 days old. Though miniscule in size, microgreens are concentrated in nutrients and have anywhere from 4 to 40 times the nutrient value of their mature self. Studies have shown that microgreens are loaded with vitamins, C, E, and K, lutein. They contain a wider variety polyphenols then their mature counterpart. They have been studies to improve heart health, and reduce chronic disease risk. They are easy to grow and convenient because they can be grown indoors and grown year-round. Watering Microgreens

Consistent watering is essential to maximizing the life of your microgreens if you don't harvest them. We recovered these sad looking peas simply by watering twice each day to get them back into good health. They are now ready to eat!

Get them while they last. DIY grow kits for peas and radishes are available at The Health Market as well. Also, we now have refill kits available. Refills allow you to reuse your container and less cost. Grab the tutorial from our website if you need it.

Growing Healthy Food at Home

We’ve had a garden for many years, but we grew mostly tomatoes, squash, and peppers because they grow well in the Texas heat. My diet still wasn’t complete and I suffered from eczema and other conditions that only appeared in the last coupel of years. Then I discovered microgreens. They more nutrient dense than anything I was growing in the garden. After eating them in most of my meals for a month, I feel better and my eczema is non-existent. We started growing more microgreens than we need and make them available for purchase both as live greens or kits that you can grow yourself.
