This week our💡SHELTER SPAWLIGHT💡is Florida English Bulldog Rescue in Odessa, FL.

The Florida English Bulldog Rescue (FEBR) is a volunteer group whose mission is to rehab and re-home neglected, abused and unwanted English Bulldogs throughout the state of Florida. They also provide a safe alternative to shelters for owners that are faced with the decision to find a new home for their bulldog.

This week our💡SHELTER SPAWLIGHT💡is Oregon Dog Rescue in Tualatin, Oregon.

Oregon Dog Rescue is a no-kill shelter - the dogs stay at the facility until they find their families. The group was started in 2007 by two women who, at the time, had 12 years of rescue experience. Their dogs come from overcrowded local shelters, owners who can no longer keep their dogs (following an evaluation), and from high-kill shelters all over. Their facility is in Tualatin and can accommodate up to 75 dogs at a time.

This week our💡SHELTER SPAWLIGHT💡is Helping Animals Live and Overcome or H.A.L.O, located in Sebastian, FL.

H.A.L.O. is a shelter that provides a no-kill haven where extraordinary measures are taken to save homeless pets and protect them from abuse and neglect. H.A.L.O. believes in engaging the community by providing resources, education, and programs to do the same.

These three amazing dogs are longer-term residents of H.A.L.O and are in need of loving homes. They also all enjoyed tasting our treats during a recent visit!

This week our💡SHELTER SPAWLIGHT💡is Buddy’s Angels Rescue in Los Angeles, California!

Buddy's Angels Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue, founded in 2016 after their beloved Jack Russel Terrier, Buddy, passed away. After he passed, they realized the desperate need for these amazing dogs who need loving homes. They pull code-red dogs from So-Cal kill shelters and also take in homeless dogs off the street. They also help people re-home their dogs so that they don't end up in the shelter system.

This week our💡SHELTER SPAWLIGHT💡is Brownsville-Haywood County Animal Shelter in Brownsville, Tennessee!

“The Brownsville-Haywood County Animal Shelter, under the supervision of the Brownsville Police Department, is located on Russell Street in Brownsville. The shelter has a building with 18 pens inside and 3 large runs outside. All animals in the shelter are given ample food and water, are cleaned and kept in a clean, safe environment.”

Meet adoptable Reno! 🐾

Reno came in as a stray, and seeing as he was never claimed, we are hoping to find him a forever home before Christmas comes to town!

Reno is a curious fellow. He really enjoys sniffing out the scene, and his nose can lead him just about anywhere. He is the type of dog who would really enjoy a home that maybe comes with a nice stretch of land for him to explore. He's a middle aged dog who doesn't have much puppy left in him, but would still enjoy a nice place to romp around if the opportunity presents itself. If you don't have a huge yard to offer Reno, and that's okay! He would also be perfectly content laying at your feet while you watch tv or drink your coffee. Reno is not a rowdy guy. In fact, he is well mannered and very proper. We know that it's that time of year that a lot of families are probably looking for puppies, but why not consider adopting a distinguished gentledog like Reno instead? He is the perfect temperament for kids, and couldn't care less about any dogs you may have around already. If you're looking for a dog who is past the puppy stuff, but still has a lot of love to give, please consider adopting Reno!

Funny Farm Rescue Ranch is a network of volunteer foster homes in West Tennessee working to save abused, abandoned, and unwanted pets that people have tossed out.
