His Excellency Andrew Bizley visits Rasun Grandparents Poultry Project in Shaqlawa, North Erbil, Iraq in August 2024.

His Excellency Andrew Bizley is His Majesty's United Kingdom Consul General in Erbil, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

He recently paid an important field visit to the Rasun Grandparents Poultry Project. During his visit, H.E. was warmly received by senior managers of Vano Group Official, the exclusive distributor of Aviagen ROSS308 in Iraq.

The visit included a detailed meeting in which H.E. and the executives of Vano Group Official discussed the important role of the Rasun project in ensuring food security and sustainability in the poultry industry in Iraq.

The Rasun Grandparents Project is one of the strategic pillars and backbone of the country's poultry sector. Discussions addressed the various challenges facing the project and the poultry sector in general, including strategies to overcome these obstacles and ensure the continued success of the project.

Mr Karwan Salah, General Manager of the Vano Group Official, highlighted the importance of such visits, noting that they represent a major boost to trade relations between the two countries. He stressed that the visit supports local poultry production and enhances the role of Ross 308 in the Iraqi market.

Salah Mustafa Bakir - Founder and CEO - expressed his appreciation for H.E. the Consul General's interest in the project, considering it a great encouragement to expand our cooperation with British companies.

H.E. Consul General Andrew Bizley stressed the consulate's keenness to support British companies operating in the region. He commended Vano Group for its' effective contributions to the poultry industry, especially the Rasun project, which plays a vital role in providing the maternal chicks needed for poultry production in Iraq. H.E. expressed his admiration for the impact of the project on the local industry and confirmed the continued support of the Consulate to facilitate the success and development of British businesses in the Territory.

It is worth mentioning that the Rasun grandparents project imports one-day-old grandparents from Aviagen from the United Kingdom, thus producing Ross 308 mothers, which is its' exclusive distributor in Iraq.
