Waylon got to go to work with his foster mom and LOVED it! She thinks it's going to be a good way to help him be less shy and he has shown what a good citizen he is in public. Who loves house tigers? Splash has made so much progress from the little, shy, feral kitten that came to us. He's young but this is a big, still-growing boy (check those paws) with a personality that we love. He hasn't outgrown his shyness, but once he knows you he is a snuggler. He loves to play fetch and thinks another feline to wrestle is the best way to burn calories. Just a good old boy, never meaning no harm. Waylon is a timid sweetie who is learning to open up in foster care. Once his foster dad taught him how to go up and down stairs, he has been all over the place practicing. He gets along with other dogs and seems okay with the family cat so far. His "outlaw" days will be over this week after a trip to the vet and then he will be ready for adoption. Apply for Waylon at www.louisahumanesociety.com.

Can we say how happy and grateful we are to Tidewater Trail Animal Hospital for supporting the Happy Tail 5k, Dog Jog, and Kids' Run again this year? Please say hello to Timothy! This happy guy is around 5 years old and just as sweet as they get. He does great with other dogs as well as all the people he meets. That's right, it's the same registration fees as last year with even more fun. We wanted to share the design for this year's shirt ahead of time since we are doing an '80s theme along with a costume contest. Break out your vintage style and get in the spirit of the decade that brought us big hair, leg warmers, and popped collars. Warren is such a great boy so we really don't know how he hasn't been adopted yet. This 3-year-old is crate trained and house broken and gets along great with other dogs.
